C'mon, guys, we can do this if we work together!
Who are the ones currently having UAs for testing? Any tests done since?
I'm currently grinding fed rep, pretty much given up all hope lol
I pick out 4 distinct notes. Using note letter and octave number, my preliminary analysis of those particular notes: D4, Gsharp/Aflat4, D4, and (I think the note is so low) D1 or D2.
Or for the galactic map searching purposes, D4 A4 D4 D1, or D4 G4 D4 D1. However, that's assuming the tuning of my electronic piano is identical to that of the Elite: Dangerous composer.
If not, then there are many, many more possible iterations. For example, with the proper (downward) tuning B3, F4, B3, B0 would yield the same melody (and doesn't have any nuisance sharp/flat notes).
I notice naming conventions in the galactic map often end with a letter-number. So for example: Crucis Sector ER-V B2-0, or Crucis Sector CL-Y D165, and so forth.
So, maybe there's a connection between note letter, octave number notes from the signal. Something with a D4 combination at the end?
This seemed like a great idea two hours ago. I was so sure of myself! Now I'm pouring through the 400,000,000,000 galaxy star map looking at names! Aaaa!!!
I think typing either:
FCE DADA
or
DADA FCE into the comms to the UA is worth a shot, its what i read as the notes given off in the whale noises................... (please correct me if i'm wrong)
I cant find anything else out of these letters yet, so maybe the UA is calling out and needs to hear a reply.
I originally heard DG#DA FCD and scribbled it down and then watching another test, crossed it out and wrote DADA FCE.
Is it right that it changes from place to place or did i get it wrong one time?
The honk/wails? There's only two of them and they alternate, type1 then type 2 then type1 etc...
just tried a jump with all modules offline (including thrusters) except for FSD and powerplant. Nothing. although the computer freaks out when you arrive in the next system.
I've lost track - do you currently have a UA?
is there any reason to think Rot 13 is significant ? apart from the fact that Kerrash likes it....Has any Rot 13 stuff been found in the lights/sounds/whatever?
You mean... WE HAVEN'T?! That's the freaking solution right there! Space jello mold of course! Since its a jellyfish!May your theories run endlessly madder until we're down to asking "have we placed the UA in a space jello mold yet?"

Sadly I only read about 1k posts in this thread. Where can I find those "close" posts? I'd like to see 'em.
Also, are we sure SS1 is connected? Galnet says its power-plant failure triggered engine failure. Are we sure they are connected?
The only thing we are sure of is the the UA has been observed in every sensible situation, and many many completely stupid situations except the most simple situation. Let it die.
If it does nothing, then thats it as far as I am concerned.
