I was examining the frequencies along the waveform and I wanted to post this.

Hmm, I don't think that's SOS personally. It's been translated as VID8 and HIB8 by various people and now SOS, to be honest I don't think its morse at all anymore, as the dashes are of variable length and the dots are too indistinct to determine whether its one, two or three dots. Its actually easier to hear without any modification to the audio, you just have to listen to it enough and tune your ear in, preferably until you start going a bit mad and decide to learn Morse code in a weekend.

So... What do you all think?
The insecty sounds could be a nod towards the Thargoids, or they could be interpreted as dolphin chitters by those with a penchant for aquatic linkery, or the sound hobnob crumbs make when you shake the tin submerged in a bowl of hot linseed oil. IOW, it could be anything you want it to be or nothing at all.
Bitstorm's 20 minute recording is interesting, but the fact that apparently they can happily float in space without expiring, until you show it the inside of a spaceship, from which it tries to escape and if it succeeds, dies in the same environment it came from? Bit unsatisfactory isn't it?
Hmm, sorry, my disbelief is no longer suspended. Its bad enough not knowing if something is happening or not because of bugs, or not even knowing if it is
for anything, or
does anything at all, or needs to be
taken somewhere, or is
just a thing that can be sold for a lot of money, without it doing things 'because it does type reasons'. That ain't no puzzle I am prepared to try and solve, any potential for logical deduction is now gone IMHO
Good luck all, Ill be watching with interest, but for me this pantomime is over. Perhaps, the 'solution' is obvious, in the same way that my route to work is obvious, but only because I know the way, and if FD really can't think of a clue without giving it away, they are not thinking hard enough.
