Im not sure yet.... I still see flab here and there... and I know I got a long way to go..

It is nice to have clothes sag on me now... rather than the opposite..

The key was the jump from obese to overweight.. that has huge health implications too..

ONWARDS and downwards to SLIMDEPENDENCE!!!

great work how much weight have you lost so far and in what time scale?

from 108kg in December 1st 2013 to this week 96.5kg ish (weigh in tomorrow)

so total lost of 11.5kg in 12 weeks is that about right?

Also have racked up 5km walks/run every night since then (7 nights missed, due to pain or illness).

So thats my story so far!!

The forum says I cannot rep what is left of you. I shall just have to be proud of you, instead.

Looks good - about 2lb per week. Well done that man!

Are you noticing many beneficial effects?

Well done on the weight loss! That's more than the weight of our 6 month old son (although we haven't had him weighed in a while), and he's a lump! :)

I'm seriously impressed with the dedication to getting out for a walk or a run, keep it up.

I'm not allowed to rep you 'kow but brilliant work. It's great you are listening to your body as well and taking some time off when you need.

I am almost certainly sure I have ITBS on my right leg. :(
Symptoms are an exact match.

I am going to work hard on improving my running style as I'm sure that is a contributing factor. Need to use my glutes and hammies more.

Thanks for checking out the website - ahem. Yes, it's a bit out of date.
There is no JustGiving page just yet as they charge a monthly fee and it is a very small charity. That was why I set up the text donation thing as it was free. I am looking into putting a PayPal donate button on but I have serious reservations about PayPal.

To everyone in this group, you are all fabulous - I am impressed by you all.

Personal Bests today:

Cooper (12 min) 2.56 km
3 km 14m:12s
3 miles 23m:45s
5 km 24m:35s

Very pleased, particularly as I felt rubbish throughout and it was windy.

Excellent stuff, getting 4 PB is one go is brilliant. I have found that too, when you feel maybe not so good then you get a good surprise. Had to go check my 5k PB 24:08 - not much in it.
Never tried a proper Cooper test but in that run, the first 12 minutes were about 3.25km

Might be doing a 5k run tonight, concentrating on technique more than anything.

Either I weigh less in the bathroom of my Sidewinder or I have lost over 10Kg :p

Of course you weigh less - there's less gravity in your Sidewinder than on Earth... :D

For me, I'm now approaching the 135lb mark - upon reaching 133lb, that will be a 10lb drop since I started my current cut. I'm doing an upper/lower four day split now - my full body routine was beginning to get rather stale; I'd been doing it since last March!

Just did conventional deadlifts for the first time yesterday - and By The Power Of Grayskull, are my traps sore today!!

Some good news today! I have broken through the 80 kg barrier - just! I weighed in this morning at 79.8 kg.

Whilst I am really happy with this, I feel that the weight loss is reaching a plateau, and it is getting harder to keep up the weight loss that I've been used to.

My wife thinks that I've been increasing the amount of (healthy!) snacks in my diet, so I guess I need to have a review of what I am doing.

My first goal is only 1.9 kg away, so I'm not doing that bad!

DING DING DING Weigh In O'clock!

So I managed to break that 96kg barrier that was making me question my sanity..

Anyone know the reason for better weight loss, walking 1 day resting 2?
Seems to be that I get good results that way? Better than walking for 3 days straight..

ANYWAY

Weight : 95.8KG!!!!!!! <--- AWESOME I remember weighing 95kg for years!!!! back when I was in my 20's :D
Waist : Down 1cm to 99cm

So All in All a good week just to remind me to stay on course...

Tough mentally the last two - three weeks with little progress being seen... and running being hampered with muscle aches hence longer rest periods...

So tonight I am hoping for a 'fast' run try to run for 2k straight without shin pain in left leg and knee in right..

Also looking for a Gym membership for the rest days.. to do cycling or cross training and some strength training...

So today I am a happy camper... just down to Docs this morning to have blood pressure checked and I am hoping beyond hope to be able to report back tonight that I have 'solved' that issue or well on my way...

Well done! I dare not look :D
Gym etc is great, but its important to make your core exercise regime, simple, cheap and regular so you can continue forever, even during dips when you are not so motivated. I would also advise making your core regime, not too extreme. Focus on regularity. Of course thats not to say you shouldn't go to the gym when you have time and motivation. :D

Sounds about right:)

Started down the Gym this evening after a long break and I'm going to build up gradually must get some walking in usually walk into Worcester along the canal my local city and watch a film (and catch the train back) its about 9 miles.

Systems are go

I've had a few days off, building a play tower for the kids amongst other things. Managed to squeeze in a short training run of 9k using my new strap for the ITBS and foam roller'd afterwards.

I did feel it after about 5k and fiddled around with the strap loads. Not sure that it worked that much but the after-effects that I have suffered the last few times (hardly able to move my knee) never happened so something seems to have worked.

So I am going for it on Sunday, pushing myself for the whole 21km/13 miles. I have next week off to recover anyway.

I have given up hope of my target time of between 1:50 and 2:00 and will be just happy to get round. At least it is supposed to be nice weather.

We are in process of setting up a web page at the last minute, might be there today or tomorrow but if not there is always the text code if anyone wants to sponsor me through the pain. ;)
