Well. We are happy with SCB's and the game is interesting for us. So what now cmdr?

I'm not happy with SCB and they make game less interesting for me. I play a multiplayer game. Alway in open. I don't use them, but most of other players use them, so "don't use them" is not a solution, and feels like I'm limiting my options rather then selecting a viable option.Well. I would honestly sponsor some of the Devs to play Eve for a few months, just so they could look at the detail and complexity of module statistics and variety that at the same time simplifies balance issues that CCP puts in their ships and combat modules. They could use a little inspiration.
What? A FAS isn't a good ship because of shields. It's because it's hull is amazing. So SCBs aren't really that useful. In fact it could be argued a shield isn't that useful on a FAS.
Which highlights a salient point. If people don't really understand the strengths of any one ship they want to impact, they're probably not in the best place to advise on it. No offence.
Frankly I much prefer FDs approach. Which at last mention was increasing the risk of damage/ upping the heat factor. That naturally governs how much each ship can use; this creates a much better risk/ reward offering.
And nerfing something to increase options? No. No one ever asks for a nerf to increase options. It's asked because the person doesn't like a mechanic, at all, or doesn't understand it, and wants it gone.
Changing the slot count reduces flexibility. Putting into a different slot class reduces flexibility. That's the point I am making. forcing constraints, naturally reduces flexibility.
Changing the dynamic. That's a whole different ball game. Changing how SCBs work would be a far more beneficial change.
Judging by recent polls, more people are unhappy with their current implementation than happy.
And I'd argue that those who fear change and difficulty would enjoy and play elite more if they were brought into line
I've actually changed my mind on this issue..
I previously thought that SCB's should be moved to utility slots but now I just think things should be left as is. We are all used to the current system and can find ways to work around SCB stacking so why bother changing it?
How the heck do you work around them?
by becoming a better pilot.
I literally ran out of ammo trying to break through a battle conda's SCBs in my FAS the other day. 200 Plasma rounds and 60 railgun shots later, he still had full shields and several banks remaining. How exactly would being a better pilot help?

Any reasons for the rails and plasma over beam/ burst and rails or canon? Rails have a slow fire rate. As do plasma. You won't out DPS shields without consistent fire.
Actually I'm confused why you also didn't think to ram. FAS has a great hull. It's quite good at a shoulder charge. Yes it will probably hurt. But your adversary would struggle to use banks of SCBs with no shield.
Plasma and rails have the best DPS in the game for C2/C3 slots respectively.
I did ram him several times. More than that would be suicide.
You cant get his shields down with 8x boosters and prismatics, and every time he goes below 1000MJ he activates 3 simultaneous banks

How's that song go?
