trading's still orders of magnitude better than many other professions, and the best/easiest way of making money in the game
My previous trade route was 2.5 million per circuit. That got hit as of 1.5 due to the selling price of Imp. Slaves at a few extraction worlds falling from 3400CR to around 2500CR. The selling price of Palladium was hit on my route as well.
Got a new route now but I scout around in my Adder now and then to check on local prices since eddb.io is not accurate at the moment for market prices since 1.5.
Try Thrudd's.
I think this is at least part of the problem. I've seen quite a few planetary outposts with different economies from the stations. Meaning its quite possible to have a situation like high tech, industrial and refinery all in one system. All partially meeting demands and reducing trade potential.I can see that there is now a planetary outpost with a commodities market exporting Imperial Slaves in the system where I used to sell them, so the system is probably now fulfilling its own demand.
I just bought a cutter to start my trading experience, full fitted it as a trader (with shields) but really cannot find any nice route. what can you suggest? loop trades?
TY
Yep, this is exactly what I have noticed too. My trade routes that were hit the hardest had outposts show up that appear to be filling some of the demand.
Since most outposts seem to have relatively low supplies, I'm hoping the drops I'm seeing are just an initial spike, and once the BGS realizes that the outposts can't sustain the demand prices will revert at least partway back to previous levels. I hope.
Either way, the ability for a system to be partly self-sufficient by having so many mixed economies has a lot of potential badness. Taken to the extreme, a completely self-sufficient system (i.e. one that doesn't need to rely on trade with other systems) would effectively be a dead spot for traders. I can appreciate that this situation would be realistic, but it should also be fairly rare. Otherwise it's going to have a severe negative impact on the diversity of viable trade routes.
Thanks, but the market data is out of date. Its all changed since 1.5
To me, it seems like the routes are "nerfed" I guess you can say? How on earth are we gonna be able to get High-End ships?
-Is it all prices that's gone down or just the most stations or what? - I don't really get it.
-I bought Horizons just to try it out, is it good money? (Collecting and exploring).

ALSO: Will the Python be worth it? It seems like a good deal, Good for trading aswell. But is it worth it?
Its a double-hit for players like myself on Xbox One because we can't even see those outposts on system maps, let alone land on them yet. You're right, it should be rare for a system to be totally self sufficient.
On the flipside, most people I know with a Conda (and the new ultra-huge ships) mostly exploited the myriad trade bugs present in the game for the first ~6 months.
