Those Canyons are everywhere, if the Barnacles are there, they will spawn at the bottom of any canyon, I think. Assuming you have the mission.
I really don't think nothing will come out from all of this, but it's worth a try for sure. Those canyon are so creepy, once you are deep inside...
Not entirely sure how to find planetary coordinates, unless those are on the HUD there, but here is one of the "Misty" canyons. I'm still 9km from the bottom of it. There are canyons all over the moon and they're pretty unsettling for sure!Just fly inside them, waiting for a POI to spawn.
...and you should land at the bottom, then look up, not seeing the stars
Some of them are 8Km deep!!!!
You can see the coordinates, on your hud, bottom-right: those two numbers above the Gravity indicator.

Hi Folks, Great work on the mapping @simulacrae and some fantastic Triangulation work going on !
We tried for a week to get the Meta alloys mission to spawn without success, So if you still have one active and have nothing better to do please
put my mad theory to bed, Grab a mining Laser, refinery and Prospector limpets, find the closets Asteroid belt next to a star and go hunting !
If nothing try a Rocky / Metallic and Icy ring

Why ?

Well, the clusters are generally ignored, have no value if scanned and not worth mining when you can go mining in rings for more targets.
Also keeps Meta alloys available to non Horizons owners !
As for the rings, just to put the theory to bed.

Yes it is. But I have a problem now... I'm stuck inside some kind of cenote. Recalled the ship, but it landed outside!
Guess nobody can convince him to land inside this hole???

There's a way out. But it's "unconventional".
My SRV got caught as well, inside a rim, with no escape, and self destruct was the only option... but...
Kill the ED process: there's a chance your SRV position has not been "recorded" still. When you load the game again, your SRV could be where your ship dropped it
BTW, if you self destruct while in the SRV, you will be placed inside your ship again.

I don't think this will lead to anything, as said in my previous post the mission is given under "surface missions" and the target is "planet" so it's going to be on the surface of a planet. I won't say not to try it though obviously as ruling out all possibilities is always a good idea.
I have been searching around in the Witches Head Nebula on my way to Barnard's Loop on planet's surfaces and I thought I might have finally found one. I'd never seen the wave scanner bands like they were before and some ominous music played when I approached it. It was nothing I'd seen before and I got all exited but it turned out to be a satellite
I just haven't come across one yet (somehow) after 400+ POI's over the last few days

I finaly started my trip to the neutron field .... However if you guys found anything do let me know and I will rush back to the bubble but for now I got an elite rank to reach and some meta alloys and barnacles to loocate in the neutron fields

seems like barnicles might have been spelt wrong in the game file, so it doesnt query the database properly meaning the missions dont spell ( Fdev need to spell check all their code going forward) could be the background sim issues as well
