Supposedly yes, if everything works correctly (Even though there's no confirmation of what those numbers really are:S) it should. But the numbers should decrease if someone is refunded?

More to the point, how many drinkomatics are in the fleet? Do all backers get a free tasty beverage?
That typically means the drama level has also gone down, which is fine by me.
We had "official information", that this game will not be an MMO, not pay to win, will have mods and private servers and will be released in 2014:We are basing our statements on the official information provided by CIG and published on their web-site.

So much for "official information".How will modding work?
Players will be given full control of their game! When operating private servers, players will be able and encouraged to mod the game. It doesn’t stop there, though: we hope to institute a ‘mod approval’ process that will allow the best of the best player created ships and other additions to be integrated into the central persistent world as well.
So doubting Chris Roberts and statements of his companies is now "posting disinformation"?If you have official statements that prove your point please provide them. If you cannot do that then please stop posting disinformation.
People have different perceptions and priorities. For instance, I want to play a space sim and not FPS, so FPS part is totally irrelevant for me as space sim is of priority for me. And I clearly see positive improvements in this department. To be fair I am quite happy that SM was delayed as it is not of importance. However, other people might consider SM of top priority. It is really difficult to please everyone.

Especially because many of those statements turned out being false?
The "earning UEC playing a game" becomes an accepted fact, once it's proven by being actually implemented into the client. Until that happens, it stays speculation. I will continue to strictly judge CR and CIG by what they actually have delivered. Because there is no point in discussing their ever-changing PR fantasies 15 months past the announced release date.
Is Star Citizen an MMO?
No! Star Citizen will take the best of all possible worlds, ranging from a permanent, persistent world similar to those found in MMOs to an offline, single player campaign like those found in the Wing Commander series. The game will include the option for private servers, like Freelancer, and will offer plenty of opportunities for players who are interested in modding the content. Unlike many games, none of these aspects is an afterthought: they all combine to form the core of the Star Citizen experience.
To be fair, if they'd stuck to the original pitch and made it, it would be less of an issue.

Other than their latest statement about private servers which is pretty much the definition of an "afterthought"![]()
I think there is no development process that was able to avoid this...
I have no problem with them working on it after launch.
I have a problem with them taking 4 years to communicate this to backers when it was obvious from a very early phase.
It is not so obvious to me when they have decided to change the plans with private servers.
or they were watching how this works in ED.
By obvious I didn't mean that I have some extraordinary analytical powers.... more so that they've literally promised everything (+ birds) from 3-4 game genres and somethings are obviously going to be cut or put on the "infinite" backburner. Private servers was an obvious choice considering they're having trouble supporting even 1/6 of the players they want to have in an instance (They've been having trouble with netcoding since they released AC which was a lot simpler than the PU).
Again, I don't see how this has anything to do with ED.
They're not even using the same network architecture.
It'll be a lot simpler for SC to develop private servers with the traditional client/server architecture they're using.
ED had the background simulation/stellar forge to consider as well which infinitely complicated things.
I remember the times when there were players stating that ED is going to fail due to networking. FD has solved these issues over time.
One very cynical and not necessarily accurate point of view is that with CiG making a large amount of their revenue from ship sales, the idea of allowing people private moddable servers from day 1 would negatively impact that revenue stream (why buy what you can build for free?).
I appreciate that CiG have currently stated that no ship sales will happen once the game launches. Design decisions can always change, as we have seen from all sides over the last 2 or 3 years.
They stated "no ships after launch" very uncertain. I have posted a video of the interview with Ben Lesnick, where he stated that they are not planning ship sales after launch as long as the microtransactions satisfy their demands in money.
