What difference does it make how much you have? What you do not have amounts to much more – Seneca

What I really like about this forum is that it is the only one I know where a quotation from a Roman Stoic is a perfectly relevant contribution to a discussion of bounty hunting tactics :)

Hudson = Fed. That should explain it all. He's as corrupt piece of junk as corrupt can go - just like all the Feds. If you support Feds, you're as good as dead (= you're but an insignificant piece of junk in their machinery) - go Alliance or Empire.

Eh. I have no problem with the Alliance. I quite like their ethos, TBH. But the Empire was founded on the practices of genocide of an entire sentient species and the principles of totalitarian militarism and a gentrified outer facade covering up a core of corruption and disregard for human life.

The Federation isn't perfect, but it was founded on the pretense of stopping extra terrestrial extinction and genocide by human colonists.

Right, has anybody confirmed my methods by taking a couple of tons of gold to the HI RES, tagging an innocent ship to become wanted, and then cleaning up the swarm of easy high-paying targets?

I meant to, but got distracted doing other things. I also don't want to be wanted in my home system.

I mean, the original Duval woman was alright, if a little bit of a communist. Well intentioned at the worst. But the first emperor was a complete egomaniac and exterminated a sentient species from its home planet to claim it for himself, completely corrupting the laudable ideals of his predecessor.

I completely understand the dropping cargo bit, but does anyone know what being Wanted will do to increase bounty collection? All I can see being Wanted doing is getting you shot up by cops. I feel that, if this is in fact his methods, the same results can be achieved without being Wanted.

Here's a run from walbanga today.

That's not true. Let's say without a KWS, an Anaconda's bounty shows as 200k. The KWS will push it up to about 260k. That can be doubled if you reach level 5 PP, so it increases to 520K of which 10% won't show in the bounty claims above because they have to be claimed in Empire/Alliance space, so the 520K goes down to 480k. That's 240% of the original bounty, not 400%.

For all you skeptics, those claims are genuine, and the above has reminded me that there's another 10% still waiting to be claimed.

As a few of you have asked, I'm not going to make it easy by spelling it out in detail, but I'll give some clues: First, you need level 5 PP and a KWS for the 240% increase. Without it, the 400 million payout would only have been 170 million, although that's still a lot of bounty money. The next thing you need to do is go to a HI RES and do everything you can to encourage the pirates to come. I'm sure that if you do a bit of research, you can find out what to do for that. Then one more thing: There's a clue in this picture that shows the pirates swarming in. That's six Clippers in front of me and there's another six big ships behind me, all waiting to die:

Absolutely not true.. Not sure what makes you think KWS pays 60k? Thats completely false.

I know exactly how it works, have done it many times, and on average you will make about 400% of the original bounty, but youre entitled to your own opinion. I'll leave it at that, really dont like your approach of teasing people by posting your screen shots for shock and awe, but then you are vague about how it works, until I briefly explained it, and only then you chime in and give a bit more "vague" detail. Also at no point did you mention how long it took. For all we know you have been grinding this for 30hrs just so you can feel cool on the forum.

My advice to you would be to try and help people instead of trying to look cool. :)

You haven't read Reclamation, right?

I'm sure the Feds aren't much better though... That's why I stay independent and with no allegiances.

Welp, you already lost me. I was really hoping to learn about a way that didn't turn ED into my second job.

But hey, thanks for posting it up anyway for those who are interested. I just don't have the time, patience, or will for Rank 5 PP.

Basically this. This merit decay is simply too huge. 20% Okay. 30% Meh. 50%? Stopped when I got my Vette and a couple of rebuys.

And become a slave under that fake emperor? Nah thanks.

Unless you're dead drowned in debts, then slavery is an *option*.

Oh, I've read it. And due all I have read the Feds are which I most despise.

Does dropping off the powerplay loads, bonds ect count toward rank like ensign?
Power Play is not related to your Naval ranking at all. Power Play has its own ranking system that is independent of the other ranking systems in the game. Therefore, merits will have zero effect on your naval ranking.

Redeeming combat bonds has a small impact on your faction naval ranking. Bounties as well.

Missions are the best way to progress through the Naval ranks.

I am amazed that this fact, stated clearly in the in-game description, is constantly ignored by detractors. I find it laughable that there is this purposeful ignorance, because Imperial Slavery is not forced on anyone. It is voluntary. Again, clearly stated in the in-game description so often ignored by the "abolitionists."

I've said it before and I will say it again. Want to fight Slavery? Look to Robigo.

No kidding.

Have you looked at the commodities market there?

High demand for Imperial slaves.

High supply of regular slaves. Lots of slave-smuggling missions.

I'd wager it's a hub for laundering kidnapped imperial slaves into federal and independent star systems.

If someone does certain work by choice (voluntarily), can they really be called a slave? I was always under the impression that to be a slave, you are someone else's property and their servant (in other words you dont have a choice). If imperial slaves do in fact have a choice, such as sitting on the couch eating chips all day, then they really cant be called slaves can they? I'm confused...

Edit: I suppose modern day slavery can be defined differently. Even though we are no longer whipped into picking cotton fields anymore, we could still be considered to be slaves just the same. Money is collected from us by the government (we serve them). Who then go and do what they please with the money. I guess in modern times its more disguised. We are under the impression the government "serves" the people, but in fact, it enslaves the people and instead serves those who control the government. Which would mean we are still slaves, just "modern day slaves".

Yeah, I never understood that either.

"Slave," to me, implies involuntary servitude.

The imperial system seems more like a form of indentured servitude, similar to how some early colonists paid for their fare to the Americas.

Imperial Slaves do in fact have a choice.

It says so right in the Commodity Market Item Description when purchasing. If they were instead called Indentured Servants, which is much more accurate, it would take a lot of the wind out of Fed and Aisling propaganda though. Unfortunate.

Fortunately our shrewd and savvy Senator Zemina Torval has always looked to increase awareness of proper care and treatment of Imperial Slaves. It's in most of her daily quotes. But again, the propaganda machine has painted her as a Slaver of the worst notoriety.
Shameful twisting of reality by attention seeking "aboltionists" fighting for a cause that doesn't actually exist...
