So I don't need to be back to the bubble until the END of June?It starts on June 30th and will last 4 weeks.
I was going to cut my trip short to get back in time but June 30th gives me 6 weeks before I need to be back.
I'm currently ~8kly from Sol and ~18kly from Sagittarius A*
Do you think I can make it to Sagittarius A* and back to the bubble in 6 weeks? I figure I should be able to if I can keep pace at 10kly per week.
I was going to stay out anyway so I can use my data to support the cause. Assuming there's a CG that uses exploration data.
If I come back early, I'd be too nervous to hang on to that data for very long.
If I buy a new ship and leave my Asp in dry dock without selling the data, will my data be safe if I happen to lose my secondary ship?

Depending on your daily game time but to Sag A and back in 6 weeks? Easily.
And no, your data wont be safe even if you change ship as the data follows you, not the ship. How stupid is that though...
That's about 1000 KLY per day. So yeah 10,000 LY per week should give you enough wiggle room. Give your self as much opportunity to rest as possible though between now and then. You'll need to save some strength for the dangerous games as well.
The data is tied to your account, not the ship you collected. So if you dock your Asp and then lose your Vulture before settling your data, that data would be lost.
Hopefully any exploration CG will be in the first week, so this won't be an issue. SEPP also provides escort wings to ensure your safety upon arrival.
Ziljan, could you or anyone from SEPP leadership provide a written overview of how to best support the group while not tied into the command structure? Forum information is sparse; and people like me who like to plan their gaming sessions but can't be on Discord a lot sort of lack a simple pre-campaign flyer to use and spread around.
Here is what you can do as a SEPP supporter:
1. Be ready to be within striking distance of the Bubble for 4 weeks of community goals starting June 30th, and throughout the month of July.
2. Join Discord just to read news and updates. Discord has a very small foot print, can be run in a web browser, and does not require voice. You can simply check in with Discord to read the announcements section for strategy updates once or twice a week in July. Depending on the mechanics of the Community Goals, secrecy may be important. So we need to be able to communicate with you directly, efficiently, and securely to ensure that you are maximizing your valuable time in game.

Each of the 6 groups in the Dangerous Games will each get ~1 CG per week for 4 weeks. So there should be 4 SEPP CGs in total. The Tier reached for each CG will equate to a weekly score. At the end of the 4 weeks, all of the scores for each group will be added up, and the one with the most points Wins!!
The way that you vote for SEPP is by participating in a CG that supports SEPP. The more you do in the SEPP CGs, the bigger your individual vote. And the bigger your individual CG reward!

Do we know anything about these CG's yet? I assume they'll have more tiers than your regular one. Who is going to determine what they will actually be (exploration, trading, combat..?), the competing groups or FD or..?
I imagine it will be FD determining the goals, exploration, trading, combat as you mentioned, I just hope the fourth isn't mining.

Or, in a way, it was: There's no simple "This is what it's all about, this is what you can do to help, if you want to get involved more, join discord" material available, something that is easy to share with others who aren't involved yet, something like:I don't know, a simple web page, pdf, something like that. Propaganda stuff among the top google results. Something with as few barriers as possible to share and get involved. (And resolves the contradiction of "we'll welcome all, in any form you come to us!!!" and "as long the form is Discord".)

Just had a look. Looks like I need to apply to someone on some channel (Discord? ED private group?) in order to get access to the strategy information/discussion. Anyone willing to enlighten me as to how?
Other news: since I won't be doing much (if any) out-of-bubble exploration until the Dangerous Games (that one snuffed my plans for a leisurely stroll to Sgr A*), I'll be available for explorer escort duty. No experience in that so far, so I'd like to keep it in PvE mode. I'm on western European time, PM me here or in the game (same name) if interested. Current ship is a FAS with 15 ly and three jumps per tank.
The main supporter text channels are Campaign Central (for dangerous games chat), Finney Dock (for casual chat about anything), and Announcements (for strategic notifications). If you have questions, you can post them in Finney Dock or Campaign Central, and one of our admins or other knowledgeable supporters can help you.
