I'm really hoping for some good news. I don't expect anything new, but it would be nice.
To be fair, I really don't want hype at this point. I want see conceptual info about 2.2 release, and potentially Season 3 hints. And 2.2/2.3/2.4 release dates.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that, considering I've voted 'neutral' and clearly said I'm not going to be hyped by anything until I see it delivered...

Ah, Star Citizen doesn't interest me. The space ships don't look nice (in my opinion).
I would get hyped if FD announced a Core Dynamic version of the Cobra Mk3 (with nice CD design and the pilots seat in the middle of the ship) and/or a Core Dynamics combat explorer (sized somewhere between the Vulture and the Asp with an agility of, let's say, 7).

I dont know if it will be big gameplay stuff, but we will see something new for sure. Being a little excited cant be wrong.

Neutral, I think FD will have to give some idea of season 3 to keep momentum and hype going. Seasons as yearly expansions is acceptable but if it takes 18 months for each season to roll out people will lose interest as its too long of a release period. FD have to get back on track in relation to this and I expect to see something on space legs, especially with the the forthcoming release of other space games such as COD infinity and the big one Mass Effect Andromeda.
There will have to be more on offer with Elite to sustain interest and also importantly to grow the franchise and attract new players. As far as 2.2 passenger missions I`m a bit jaded on that one as it could just turn out to be A-B cargo missions under a different guise, multi-crew is an unknown quantity as well and could be a damp squib and maybe next to useless for a lot of the player base who only fly in solo. Thargoids ??? might be fun to speculate but I`m not getting excited as the recent AI outcry could render this threat to resemble being savaged by a dead sheep.
So it lies with season 3, hopefully space legs, player bases, new gameplay such as EVA for salvage, repair, exploration etc. If that does not happen then FD will I'm afraid run out of road, something I do not wish to happen as a lifetime backer and player of the original in 84.
Regardless FD have been given enough time to get it together and ample support and suggestions from the community, if it all does go belly up the players will not be the ones to blame for lack of foresight and action, it will fall on Messrs Braben,Brookes & Sammarco.
