FD: Please code the Thargoids to grief the griefers

It'd be hilarious, if only to watch them get blown to pieces immediately after doing that to somebody.

However, I think if FD were able to somehow code this they'd be more likely to ensure that these people were able to be identified and punished some other, more 'fair' way..

These are not griefers. They are players engaging in PVP. They are fighting on their terms, not their targets, using every possible advantage they can think of. That is actually how you would want to fight most fights, now that I think about it, unless it's a duel at 20 paces. And a duel at 20 paces is most certainly not a good description of the Elite universe.

If you want Elite: Carebear mode, you can always try Solo, or maybe see if you can possibly get an invite to Mobius if you find the single-player version of Elite to be too boring. Not that I would expect Mobius to be much better than playing in Solo, but you do have options other than mischaracterizing regular PVP activities as "griefing".

Lol, these comments always make me laugh. I've been playing pvp games as long as they've been in existence. True pvp was always about the challenge. It was never about seal clubbing. I hear comments about carebears and cowards on here all the time, but we really know who the "real cowards" are don't we.

I'm talking about players who gang up on folks outgunned or outskilled, and blow them to bits for no good reason, and do so all the time.

So here's: the idea. Have the Thargoids attack them relentlessly.

Those players are among the ones most likely to have combat skills enabling them to quickly deal with Aliens... why would Aliens attack those CMDRs first? If I was a Thargoid, I'd attack the impotent CMDRs first as well. ;)

Actually that would be very stupid thing for an invasion force. Hit, with superior numbers and force, the most capable opponents. The rest is then just cleaning up the weak that can be done while casually taking the defenseless systems.

And I don't know how denying access to the docking pad improves the combat skill or killing a T-6 4vs1 for that matter.

LOL. All PVP isn't griefing, and not all griefing is PVP.

Most PVP is not griefing at all. You need to be using a bug/exploit or specifically targeting an individual player over and over for it to be griefing. I have discussed this with FD support when I submitted tickets for reimbursements due to griefing, you need to show that the player in question used a bug/exploit or targeted you repeatedly for them to reimburse you. Otherwise it's just normal PVP and they will suggest that you play in Solo if you dislike regular PVP activities.
