Oh yeah cause it's just me.........

Some of the things I hear in the super secret mod volcano lair.......

However..... Hoping the lockdown ends soon I want to get my asp ready...

Let's hope you don't have a bad lisp T.J or that can be rather errrrrr................................. Embarrassing !

Or how about 'no'.

Do do you think the Elite/Founders can't find 15% discounts elsewhere? Why should idiotic commanders retain their permits to a privileged system, which is bound up with the heart of Elite's lore? For lulz? This entitlement nonsense blows my mind. Smh

A very simple reason why you can't take away a permit for founders, is because some people got access for being a backer and that will open a Pandoras box of issues for Frontier. It's not happening, so get over it and stop being an entitled brat. Do I agree with what happened? No, but it's not the end of the world to me. The way you guys keep acting though I'm tempted to contribute to the Lockdown next time it happens.
Hell even from a lore perspective no organization is immune to the actions that destabilize a system and lead to Lockdown, so claiming that founders should be immune to Lockdown just because it's the home of the pilots Federation is just asinine. The only reason people want it to be immune to bgs effects is because they feel entitled to the Benefits, which I don't mind from those who've earned their way in; but that's a different discussion entirely.

There is also a CMDR who came back to the game after a year, his Python is stuck in Diaguandri without a decent FSD (2.9 Ly jump range), the system is in lockdown, they can literally not escape that system

If there is a station owned by another faction like Rothman Vista Surface Port, he can get out there.

Worst case scenario will be like when I did the same with my clipper. Solution is to fly to Rothman, buy a hauler, get out of system and buy an asp with a big A rated FSD, fly it back to Rothman, sell the big FSD, swap back to the Python, then in Outfitting you will find the big A rated FSD under "Buy back old items" which is persistent over ship swaps.

It's a pain and it can mean leaving / selling an Asp hull, but it is a way out.

Ive had to do it twice - you'd think I might learn, but like I always say: "The best thing about mistakes is repeating them."

regardless of if the home of the pilots federation should be able to be locked down is debatable and i agree it should not happen...... but who ever cause this is NOT griefing imo**, neither are they idiots or anything, we are actually encouraged to play the BGS and this is all someone is doing.

and yes I too sighed an swore mildly when i docked and realised i was locked out of the upgrades.

**I have no idea who did it, and it is quite possible they ARE (insert what ever expletive here you choose) but this is not because they managed to get founders into lockdown imo

This^^
Having jamerson out of order is a pain but to start calling the people who caused the lock down griefers is just daft .
If you've played enough ED to earn the privilege of using jamerson then you should be experienced enough to work round it for a few days or help turn it around .

are we still on topic? that cmdr with the e-ASP has an own thread.

will go back to shinrarta this evening and try to get narcotics to JM. that should calm things down.

How, exactly, do you get at the Outfitting during lockdown? There is no outfitting after all?!

Sorry in my book, does not matter if you are a founder/backer/Elite/or an all round good egg, if you act the total bottom then you pay the consequences, no matter if your name is D Braben! But that is my view, and before you go off on one, your view is different, not wrong!

No shipyard in Rothman only outfitting (Does not have suitable FSD for Python), No outfitting in Ray Gateway only shipyard. They can get out in another ship, just the Python will have to stay in Ray Gateway.

It's like one of those logic puzzles where you have to get a bag of corn, a chicken and a fox across a river. just this one has no solution.

Let the chicken eat the corn, the fox eat the chicken, then take the fox across..... NEXT!

Loaded with 512 magnetic emitter coils (engineering commodity) in a iCutter, with my eyes closed I press j, wait for the "FSD ready" ping, press z, press j, press x, wait for a minute, press j, repeat. If interdicted I press x and open my eyes.

Every 3 jumps I fight an elite pirate Anaconda or FDL with 350k to 550k in bounty after kill scanned, repeat. Currently killed 24 pirates so far this way. 10million in bounties so far. No idea why pirates are so likely to spawn if carrying engineering supplies, I usually carry 4 modular terminals just to force pirate spawns.

First you take the chicken and fox over the river, return with the fox still onboard (it's a cuddly fox, he likes boats) to pick up the corn, and then head over to the other side again. Done.

Also, the solution to the Founders World situation is rather simple: High Security systems need *MUCH* better AI cops response. Bring out a fleet of 'Condas and 'Vettes with Vipers and Vultures for support. All tricked to the gills with engineered weapons. These would respond almost at once to any potential crime-scene.

That would effectively negate doing crime in a high-security system to bring the ruling faction into lockdown.

Or FD might just disable lockdown effects for Shinrarta.

3 mill bounties added (7 mill +/-, in bounties, total last two days); avoiding kills of Pilot's Federation but some are trying my patience. Several waves of pirates at distress calls done in on my way to and fro AB 3.

I may have to interrupt my assistance, IRL, a hurricane is heading towards FL in USA towards my home port, may have to batten down the hatches. Will be in the thick of it before weekend. Watching the model tracks.

I have earned this privilege (I did it by exploring), and I'd like it to actually work, and not being subject to some players who want to see the world burn.

Your letting a piddling little bit of wind affect Elite?!

What is the world coming to...

Fly Safe Cmdr.

Or Hide Safe as the case may be :)

Same, and I have to be out driving around in it. Wee.

Lockdown is a game mechanic.. reaching Elite in any discipline does not give anyone the right to dictate where someone should choose to use that mechanic..

..if you want to do something about it, get out and help reverse it rather than slinging mud on the forum :)

Except that there are people that paid a lot of real world money to back this project when it was a kickstarter, and one of the perks for that backing was access to the Founder's World system, and all of the perks contained therein. For the record, I was not a backer, but I also understand the following simple concept: When someone pays money for something, they most certainly are 'entitled' to it. This isn't a "sense of entitlement" as some of you are claiming in this thread. This isn't people complaining that "the world owes me something". These are people that forked over (a lot of) cash for something, and aren't getting it. I sympathize with them.

In the meantime, yes, it's annoying, but easy to work around. I'll be curious to hear FD's response on this one though.

Unfortunately it looks like it might be rather a lot of wind, and a hell of a lot of water. And I live on a spit of an island barely above sea level, in a house made of Balsa wood, tissue and snot. Might have to glue the PC to the ceiling.

Anyhoo, back OT, I'll rock up and see if the Rift makes me any less terrible at combat!
