Jameson memorial outfitting has gone !

Except that there are people that paid a lot of real world money to back this project when it was a kickstarter, and one of the perks for that backing was access to the Founder's World system, and all of the perks contained therein. For the record, I was not a backer, but I also understand the following simple concept: When someone pays money for something, they most certainly are 'entitled' to it. This isn't a "sense of entitlement" as some of you are claiming in this thread. This isn't people complaining that "the world owes me something". These are people that forked over (a lot of) cash for something, and aren't getting it. I sympathize with them.

In the meantime, yes, it's annoying, but easy to work around. I'll be curious to hear FD's response on this one though.

Exactly, I paid £200 in the kickstarter to get perks like founders world access and atm my game has come to a standstill as I'm trapped in that system and cannot access outfitting. Jameson Memorial should be immune from crap like this.

I respect the rules even though I am DDF, Founder and triple Elite...

Yep, I backed and got automatic access to founders.. I also "earned" 2 Elite ranks that also give me access.. don't see your point tbh..

.. as for FD response, there should be none imo, messing with the BGS behind the curtain don't sit right with me.

So you want it to be Pay To Win then..?

This.
I might also add that non-backers (like me) got access to Shinrarta after many hours of gameplay. Keep in mind that it was before Sothis and other such cash cows. IDK about the others, but I DO feel myself 'entitled' to it. And no, I do not intend on sitting there and constantly guarding my prize.

As for the response, so far we got the usual "It's being looked into" from QA-Jonny (see bug reports) and a (somewhat offtopic) joke from Brett. Not the answer we're looking for.

I have earned this privilege (I did it by exploring), and I'd like it to actually work, and not being subject to some players who want to see the world burn.

Just because you worked for a shipndoes not mean it can't be blown up.

Trapped? Ask support to get you out, in the mean tine you can help bounty hunting.

You we're granted access to the system or outfitting?

Unfortunately it looks like it might be rather a lot of wind, and a hell of a lot of water. And I live on a spit of an island barely above sea level, in a house made of Balsa wood, tissue and snot. Might have to glue the PC to the ceiling.

Anyhoo, back OT, I'll rock up and see if the Rift makes me any less terrible at combat!

Sounds like a great cooling system for your pc.

Seriously tho, sounds worrying good luck shoring up your house and hooe the worst of it passes you by. Guess there is an upside to Englands boring weather after all.

Having access to Shinrarta isn't "winning" the game. It's a nice convenience, in that it's a one stop shop for ships and modules.

I respect your opinion, but you either don't understand or don't respect the opinions of the others who are posting in this thread. But, I'll try to make my point more clear for you:

People who paid money to back the game aren't acting "entitled" when they complain about the situation going on right now with the Founder's World system.

A very good point, I was one of those punters who spent their cash in the early days with no idea of how the game would end up. I guess with thoughts of when I played the C64 original.

Very frustrating no one of the features I contributed towards is partially unavailable.

You're wrong.. I do understand your point and I do respect your opinion, I just happen to not agree with it..

I too paid money to back the game and I got exactly what I paid for

just because outfitting is temporarily disabled due to in game mechanics doesn't mean anyone who backed the game isn't getting what they paid for..

.. the lockdown can be countered by using the same in game mechanic, game is working as intended, I see nothing wrong with that.

Just be aware Cmdrs, that the Same ole (Very naughty Expletive to be placed here) Cmdrs are firing at you just outside the Letterbox of Jamison, without the station so much as lifting a finger to stop them.

Can someone tell me the mechanics behind that? then explain to me why it is a good idea to have a No Fire Zone which actually means nothing at all?

Just go solo or PG and cash in the bounties to help remove the lockdown.

How much do i agree with you Sir.........Come on the publishers of those idiots books, make one called Elite: Dangerous BGS for Idiots....I'd buy one.

I am bounty hunting everyone who is not Pilots Fed, don't know if that is right or not, just trying to help the Jamison situation. Should we be targeting one particular faction?

I read it is in lockdown in the Beta 4 as well? Is that right? what goes on in the 'Live' galaxy effects the Beta Galaxy? (Or vicci verca). Happy to wing tonight if anyone online UK 18:30 onwards?

Me too. We have educated guesses even as to when the "tick" occurs to reveal the effect our team has had over the past myriad of hours of hauling feces.

Faction influence...13%...hours n hours later,...13% and an hour later...ohhh look at that freddie...a blue tick mark!! Such incredible sight to see...

Does anyone know, since now everything you do on the MB is a +2 influence, what % does one mission give --if everything else was frozen and nothing else happened?

Somebodies been busy, Trevithick Dock in LHS 3447 is on the brink of closure. Nice welcome for new players.

And as was pointed out to me, Jamesons does not have a black market, so could not of been UA bombed.

Wow. Just. Wow.

Don't worry, I dare say Brett will be along some time tomorrow with some more banter.

Does it really surprise you? Also, I don't really think the Pilots Federation should be affected by the BGS. I somehow imagine the space-illuminati to be immune to bankruptcy.

Oh, it doesn't surprise me at all that some morons are UA bombing the starter system. I have three children, although I suspect they'd find something more fun to do.

What surprises me is that FDev haven't fire proofed the starter systems. In terms of feedback, the actual devs have been superb in the current Beta: a big hat tip to them for that.

TBH, I'll work the BGS in Shinrarta because that is my gameplay world, or at least part of it, but it is very much their job to sort out the game for beginners.

So. What needs to be done? Just got everything I needed to get my cutter and i come back to this nonsense and google led me here. Got an A class corvette. Who needs dead?

Look for wanted Commanders. There are several Cutters, two of them in wing. I asked them "why", one of them said... "U BH"

Go figure.
