So...
Does this mean they are making the whole SQ42 game in a single system? That would surely be a first in story driven space games as far as I know.
I believe CoD is already doing it, there are only one system there too.

Yes, as far as I know it's been based around a single system for a while now.

yeah and I never played an MMO before, and made fun of people multiple times who spend obscene ammounts of real money on pixel items. Look at me now!

If the game ever gets made - I fully expect a flood of "I spent $$$$$$$ on this game and got killed by someone who can't even afford clothes! So unfair! I demand they get banned immediately and CIG give me another Idris!"
I do get the feeling that my purchase of the cheapest of options will mean that I'm treated as a second class citizen.
This is one of the reasons I'll be holding back on my purchase of Star Citizen even if it is released. I want to see what happens to normal players. I understand that the results of that poll could be skewed by people proud of their purchases, but over half the people in that poll have spent over a thousand dollars.

Well apparently you can earn all the ships in game but how in hell they'll balance the requirements I don't know. I mean how much gameplay would earn you a 500 dolla ship if your just a normal Joe that's bought the game retail release. Too much time and effort and it totally annoys people who walk away grumbling on forums too little and your original whale backers will be up in arms.
Cool business model though. Lots of money!!!!
Ugh...I can't imagine the kind of crowd that will be playing should SC be released. I also am not interested in grinding through this game, given the way things look at present. If the game ever gets made - I fully expect a flood of "I spent $$$$$$$ on this game and got killed by someone who can't even afford clothes! I'm going to play Sq42 and leave it at that.
Had someone pop on the TS from another org shocked to hear I was petitioning for a refund. He was like, "but what are you going to rebuy in for". And my answer was nothing. Then listed a large reason of why I should buy something and my answer was I'll spend $60 if the game is ever released. Or hell I'd spend more than that during the "last chance" sale if they ever end up producing a decent beta. But I told him the game as pitched to us 4 years ago ain't happening. The game that was proposed 4 years ago could have been made. In fact many parts of it has been made...by another studio called Frontier Developments PLC.
