no love, just tickle and spanking!
Where is the love interest?
Not that I don't buy that list, but I positively hate it when people compile such things and don't have a reference for everything. Arguing based on it is arguing based on the person posting it and if they're not honest or accurate about it, it makes you look like a buffoon. Not to mention that in order to double check everything, you have to put in a good fraction of the time yourself that they needed to compile that list.

Crikey $900 for a spaceship? Is this a new record? Chris Roberts continues to save PC gaming. =/
Also old news I'm sure but Squadron 42? Been saying for ages that SQ42 will be the litmus test, if they can deliver that and it's good then well there you go.
But I am now reading Squadron 42 has been delayed?
With a quote : "most of our base technology [for the game] is now complete".
Not finishing up or anything, they've nearly got the basics in?
Reading between the lines this makes it sound like Sq42 is a long way off.
It also sounds similar to prevous Star Citizen quotes, paraphrasing from memory : "we are working toward getting the underlying framework together that will allow us to build the game."
Don't worry, their development has gone through some troubled fluids, but now solid technical foundations have been laid in, it's only gonna ramp up.
You mean like robust AI routines have been developed? All gameplay mechanics are in place (professions), netcode is finally stable, and mocap animations drop jaws?
dsmart talking about "refactoring" of devs. Assume he means layoffs.
Over at /r/starcitizen, but it's decidedly unnatural and NSFW.
To be fair, it's a long read as it is: With links, it would make a small, very depressing novel.

CIG devs may only have one job, but if that is so, it certainly is not to hold their CEO accountable. Thats just not how things work.
Thats one of the very odd things about the SC community: its nearly all graphics-driven hype. Its not just that that is the only thing CIG shows, it truly appears to be the only thing SC fans care about it. It also appears to be the thing CR cares about. Constantly re-working visual stuff with almost zero attention to gameplay of any kind. 'fidelity' suddenly means 'high-res textures'. Now 'deep gamplay' also means 'high-res textures'. Can't wait for the superb farming with, I can only assume, amazingly high-res space bananas.
If anyone is curious about the next SC show, here's what you'll get: more high-res textures, plus vague promises of awesome gameplay in the patch after the patch after the patch after next patch, none of them having any release date but all of them coming 'really soon'.

There's no need to get too invested convincing anyone here that the demo wasn't as impressive as they imagine - the funding goals chart speaks for itself. The next few months funding are all on that ship sale - nobody was particularly impressed it seems. We've seen sparse planets and mountains, these are easy bits

Oh, I don't know... They managed to make Cryengine look completely pants at rendering foliage - That's actually quite an impressive feat that nobody else has managed.
