Roccat Power Grid

I plan to experiment with power grid in the up coming Star Citizen Arena commander because I'm just a ED release backer, so have all year to wait unless things change and I can afford to buy into the beta.

I'll see what grids get posted for SC soon, and might work from there editing those or try and create my own. I'm not very good with stuff like this so will have to see how it goes. I have a good feeling its going to be perfect though.

Also no news on that announcement the Roccat dev mentioned a few weeks back. Wonder what it was.

Hi, first time poster and been lurking these forums for some time, and I've been keeping a close eye on this particular thread, anyway i thought i give the Roccat power grid a go so I like to share with you guys my creation, It's nothing too special, it's all vanilla using its default tools and no image uploads, but i tried to give it that cockpit control feeling. Feel free to edit or remap the controls to your preference, I have listed my keymappings in the description. :)

Here are my grids recently uploaded.

The first is my throttle grid with some additional controls like landing gear and hyperdrive:

The second is a systems grid for power distribution and targeting controls, this grid was also an experiment in macros so I have controls for max/min engines etc plus a docking specific power setup that maximises system and leaves the rest of the power in engines. The macros also cover a number of flashing light controls such as SOS and a navigation flashing light for docking:

If any of that appeals feel free to do with it what you like.

Thanks for adding them.

With something like a landing gear down button. Is there a way to show a switch as 'on' until pressed again. So one would have a visual red button say showing gear down.

Not that I've been able to figure out no, although that would be very useful. I'm hoping FD will have some indicator lights on the HUD for gear and scoop etc which I for one would appreciate

Ok I see, lets see what Roccat come up with regarding the next release.

Keep up the good work guys with posting profiles and other help. Would be good to see a new Roccat update and to know a little more about what they plan to do next.

Looks really promising is there a way to bind them or/create a key that isnt on the keyboard to free up space like how a joystick adds new buttons etc?

I suspect you'd need to use one of the virtual joystick emulator programs. there are many for windows. Vjoy, PPjoy, and 'Universal Joystick Remapper' by ED CMDR. evilC

I'm not expert and might be wrong, so maybe CMDR Noctivagus could answer.

Video from E3 confirmed both in the next build :)

Other than use any app above roccat only uses whats bound to the keyboard .

I see, thanks.

I'm just getting my tablet brackets sorted, and then hope to try and save up quick for the beta and expansions pack so I can finally get into ED. Goina be a little while longer though.

I did notice that the grids look way to big on my 10.1inch tablet and have to scroll the grids to see the bottom. Not so cool that. Should have a scaling option for larger tablets, as well as screen rotate.

I've made a post on the roccat general forum asking for status of the next big update to the software. And sent a private message to that dev who called in here. Not sure what more we can do to help speed along development. I for one would be happy to donate to the app to the tune of a few dollars as would many others, if it meant better support and more frequent updating.

Just starting to put together a custom background/buttons with the orange and grey theme of the ED cockpit. Planning on making it a - shock, horror - horizontal layout with the text rotated 90 degrees clockwise.
