Dear FD when you plan to patch BETA on live server?

I never made the claim in the first place, that was NOT my argument. Show me where I claimed the 200,000 silent players = everyone is unhappy? I said it is NOT EVIDENCE THEY ARE HAPPY. I even detailed what I actually meant in the hope you would carry out an honest discussion, see above where I clearly stated " I was highlighting how useless it is when someone claims there s no problem because they do not use the feature". I also asked you if you agree we should all be lobbying to make the game better for everyone, and you just avoid that question and go down your route of being a contrarian. Funny, I just found a post from you saying "How would it harm you or anyone if there would be more time for long range passenger missions?". This is almost exactly what I was referring to, players only thinking of themselves and their own experience. Is something else bothering you today lol?

That's funny because I don't even do long range passenger mission and still supported OP, because I think he has a point. It's the opposite of thinking of myself.

Not sure to see a difference between people who bought a game (an thus have become customers who have paid) and paying customers.
But even if we're talking about "just random people who bought a game", I don't see how that's an excuse for FD's lack of communication, which I consider far more rude than the OP's tone.

Good luck communicating with every other game company.

Exactly, that is my point. I was not calling you selfish. I was just trying to use an example you would identify with.

OK, I get it ;)

On the original point... Please re-read Rolands comment. He didn't even say that there are no problems, he just explained why a mod asked which issues OP is experiencing. I think both are valid comments, regardless of the amount of issues someone has...

Yes, it would be nice.

I can imagine its all hands on deck at the moment for the beta and release of PC, and i don't even begrudge them that (much), just as long as they keep us up to date with info about when we might expect another patch.

I know, there would be some grumpy types who if FD said we could expect another patch at the end of the November would grump away, but at least could plan some in-game activities around it.

Not been a lot of that now has there?

Thing is sir mod, is that the OP's main question line will interest many of your valued player/tester base to open the link and when we see the FD logo involved in the conversation we assume info has been injected related to the question asked... not a snarky response probably sparked by history you might have had with the OP.

These are truly trying times for FD, mods and players.
Mods are called moderators for a reason yeah?... to bring moderation which does include recognition of the players point in their valued feedback especially in times like this, not deny them or offer any redirect.

Of course they know what's wrong- there's the ack'ed bug reports. But why would you rather wait weeks for a summary patch instead of each bug getting addressed as it's fixed? As someone else mentioned, some bugs might not affect every player so waiting for a cumulative patch is not making much sense. Unless there's code reasons which I have no insight into. But one would assume that passenger mission bugs are not related to say the SRV issues.

They did quick-fire patches in the past. The result was much whining and saltiness from the people with tin-can style internet. So they switched to a more cumulative patch style. It is impossible for FDev to please everybody.

They already did. They are aware of the issues and are busy fixing them. There'll be an update when it's ready. Don't know what else you want to hear.

Are you using a nvidia card? There is a known issue with geforce experience/shadowplay. Disabling it (or uninstalling) might help.

Alternatively, you could go back to a graphics driver that supports GeForce Experience 2.11.x (I believe that 372.70 is the last one) and delete the folder <systemdrive>:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\GeForce Experience\Update (systemdrive will be C: for most people) to prevent the forced update to the completely broken 3.x branch.

Note that 3.x requires a login and the EULA allows NVidia to spy on you as they please. It should be treated as malware.

H Ian,

while I'd chose different wording than OP, here's an initial list of bugs I guess we could do with fixing. 'They are going to be addressed' is not the point- you asked for a specific list.

Excellent list, Luponator. I can add some specific links one of them:
Nerf of mission payout
- bug report: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/300619-Trade-missions-not-paying-correctly
- acknowledgement (?) that this is being investigated: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...of-1k-Delivery-Missions?p=4685916#post4685916

I have a couple of friends who have stopped playing at least in part because of the broken mission payouts and the "lose your commander data if you accidentally outfit your ship with two unique items" module storage bug. I recognize that the latter has been 'fixed' on the PC with release 2.2.0.1, but everything indicates no such fix has been delivered yet for the Xbox.

The lack of communication from Frontier is painful.

I just updated the list, thanks for the mission nerf link!

I heard it from them. Try miggy Dev tracker.
Not trying to be confrontational, but no, you didn't hear from them. You have a 3rd party site that simply aggregates all FD staff posts. Including loads of PlanetCoaster posts, PlanetCoaster Beta updates, etc.

The fact is that FD have a rather poor communication style. It's all over the place- parts of the info is on Reddit, parts on here, other stuff on Youtube. I appreciate that different media is useful for different things, but honestly, 2.2.x of ED has loads of issues. A stick post on the official forum to the extend of 'folks, we have a good grasp on whats wrong, keep the bug reports coming, the plan is to address these issues <list> in the next patch' would go a long way. Especially as there is no denying that two of the most marketed feature of 2.2, passenger missions and module storage are in a bad shape.

Gaijin Entertainment are more open to communication than FD are. Which is...depressing, to say the least.

Still only seen the OP figuratively waving their arms and shouting that they want 'IT' fixed.
.

Could the intellectual dishonesty get any more apparent? No one appreciated your snarky response Ian. The list of bugs that need fixing are a mile long, and getting longer. You must be intentionally missing all the posts that detail exactly what the problems are. Why should we burgle our own time even further, when there is no need? There is an obvious pattern emerging to your snark, others are starting to notice it as well.

Doh! I haven't played for months.

Are you guys saying Elite is full of bugs again? I simply can't believe it!

I keep holding off playing, and even re-attaching my HOTAS, until the main bugs are fixed, but I've only got 3 decades to live, and at this rate it's not going to happen :)
