SC financials are on a downward trend as they have gone past their peak and delivered squat. There's only so many times you can flog the same horse before the whole thing just loses credibility, even to the deluded mob. When the crunch comes it going to come fast and by this time next year its going to be in the toilet. I must checkout Paddy Power to see if I can throw a few quid his way on SC folding to make up for the 50 euro I wasted on SC 4yrs back.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers. Look at President Trump. [ugh]

Here's the thing.
I don't *think* anyone really wants SC to fall and break it's hip.
OK, maybe Derek has a line of "Derek Smart was right" T-shirts lined up, but after
this and
this the guy's due a break (lol. Sorry Derek). But, I can live with this: OK, the man has a passion, but he's not smegging Hitler.
We're the Scot Manley's and Obsidian Ant's of the world: We like our space games.
We like "Children of a Dead Earth", and "Rodina", and "Kerbal Space Program", and "Infinity: Battlescape" and "Eve online" and "House of the Dying Sun".
Personally, I sank a lot of hours into "Vega Strike" but I suspect it's dead. Hope I'm wrong. "Outerra" has no game, but it's 'will you sleep with me' gorgeous in terms of crafted + PG Tech.
No, we don't hate Star Citizen. Or CIG/F42. Or even - and there are exceptions - Chris Roberts. If CR turned up in my local tonight, I would buy the man a beer.
And then I'd ask where where the smeg my game was.
And then I'd kick him in the happy place.
This is why this thread is here. If you ask these questions on /r/starcitizen or RSI.com, you get vanished. But you'll find the same comments here as you will on Ars Technica or PCGamer or any other site: it's just that FDev keep a running thread on it, and allows criticism.
This makes us worse than ISIS, apparently.
Edit: He wasn't in my local, so I'm going to bi--h about him as usual.

I like the *idea* of SC. I'm just not sure I'll live long enough to see it. And that's not down to processor limitations, or graphics limitations, or latency limitations, or coder limitations, or Ben's ability to figure out why shadows move when you're not watching them (lol).
It's down to management.
Someone needs to kick Chris up the bottom, hard.
