"Hater" in the context of this thread serves the same purpose as "racist" in the Brexit threads.

It's just a lazy provocative substitute for making an actual argument.

I propose that anyone using the word "hate" when talking about a PC game should have their head examined.

Oh I see, but are veiled insults like this one ok? Whatever man, my head is fine.

I agree with you....CE still looks really good when it comes to the graphics and animations.....my problem with CE was always problemtic netcode and MP capabilities and overall FPS feel when it comes to the flying........

I agree completely.

Victimhood is a poor retort, throwing the word HATE around is even more childish, but alas I made my point. We live and learn.

You made absolutely no point, CryEngine looks great, that's a fact.

Yeah...sort of...or Conspiracy theorists ....thats what ppl. usually use it when want to discredit opposite opinion...

I don't understand why they are bringing the speed of ships down, when they should just decrease the accelerations rates. They have no sense of inertia and it is the main reason.

…and then you consider how there's this wide-spread notion going around among the faithful that the AAA publishers are somehow absolutely terrified that SC might succeed and are waging a shadow war to spread FUD about it. :D

The one I heard was that the whole project is actually puppeted by publishers who are deliberately going to make it fail in order to nuke crowdfunding!

Seems legit. :D

Legit would perhaps not be the word I'd use, but I have to admit, if there ever was a good illustration or argument for the need for project oversight and budget control, it's this one… [haha]

That will be the greatest damage of this whole fiasco, it will discredit and dissuade any future devs taking the kickstarter route.

With the way Kickstarter works maybe a bit of healthy scepticism will be a good thing. I've been very lucky with my backed projects. The only one with which I've not been satisfied has been one that was a complete failure, Limit Theory. All the other games I've backed, all the books I've backed, I've been delighted with.

I just hope some good could come out of a Star Citizen failure if it happens. This project was the poster boy of Kickstarter. Maybe they'll have a closer look at their vetting process if a large and very public failure happens.

Definitely, probably some sort of regulations and accountability would have to be built into the process to stop people being ripped off.

Wasn't a veiled insult at all. Throwing the word hate around when talking about a space game does not seem normal behaviour to me.

EDIT. Ignore this as I have seen your previous post.
