Even if it was not active(talking about if the first build had SM enabled or not) it was probably because it had a blocker.... not because some evil plan of not releasing SM in 2.6

I don't see the point of continuing this boring debate of wether the first build had it or not. I understand that there is not much to debate these couple of days/maybe more than a couple... but guys... really? Again with this?

But as always just my opinion.

Here's the thing, Rolan, I actually agree with you that's it's really immaterial and inconsequential. At best.

However, the fact that people - who didn't even have access to Evocati build - are trying to argue this point, is why we're still arguing about it. I have access to it. As do people I know. All of us know that SM was NOT active in that first release. I don't care who tries to explain it nonsensically with tainted videos, images etc - it just doesn't change those facts.

And the fact that nobody has seen it fit to even ask CIG - the company touting "open development" and having received $137 million - for an official statement, is what should be the discussion.

Just...(and sorry for the quote) let it go(both sides)...

123 Testing ! Am I back? Guess I am [big grin]

So here we go, let's get this straight once and for all.

2.6 build released to Evocati had Star Marine available to play since 29th of November.

Anyone who says otherwise is LYING or TROLLING!

Plain and simple and I will report it as trolling/lying and provide evidence to @Brett.C if needed!

As a matter of fact the first days of testing 2.6 were asked to play ONLY on Star Marine.

Check multiple known Star Citizen Twitch Streamers from 29th Nov and onwards! They have little to no activity (that's a easy way to know when Evocati is in testing).

TLDR: Shedding some light into this "darkness/madness" once and for all. [big grin]

The problem is that there is no evidence to suggest any of this, and calling people trolls and liars, reporting them to try to silence them, just because they rightly observe this fact, is not only petty, but downright counterproductive to the discussion.

Offer something to support your stance; don't hide behind mods because you don't enjoy people stating the obvious. And if you're going to lash out, why not lash out at CIG, who have created this whole mess through their policy of using a ridiculously limited and closed development process for a crowd-funded, funder-tested project?

Tippis, please. You already know it's been proved: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...en-Thread-v5?p=4864419&viewfull=1#post4864419

I feel like we should definitely post more about it not being in there - then Orlando can reveal his True Identity as Croberts himself! A forum duel between old enemies will ensue - sparks flying, lightsabers (why not?) flashing - there'll be blood and bits everywhere as the loser is paraded aloft a floating point across time and space

This post is, obviously, satirical. One question though - if they were meant to just be testing Star Marine how come so very little of the leaks on the Evocati leaks reddit thing were about it?

There is no mess at all lol.
It's just a matter of sticking to the facts and not fabricating stuff for the sake of trolling. Specially since it seems such continuous trolling/lying goes unpunished while only degrading the game discussion. We had Ben (CIG Dev) here giving interesting insight and thanks to trolling/lying the thread derailed into a whole lot of "nothing" lol.

That, and why hasn't CIG made a big deal about finally getting their much-delayed marquee feature out, focusing their attention of all kinds of other, far less significant details? Nothing about the messaging about any of this makes any sense.

Maybe because people are having fun playing and bug testing/reporting , you know, things that earned them the right to be Evocati. ;)

You haven't been around for the last couple of days, I take it? ;)

It's just a matter of sticking to the facts and not fabricating stuff for the sake of trolling.
Then maybe you shouldn't say the things you said, since none of it can really be confirmed, nor should you threaten other posters for just offering a different opinion than yours, ok? You're not in a position to set anything straight, or to call people liars and trolls.

If you want to discuss facts, the simple fact is this: CIG's dedication to closed development has made damn sure that we don't really know anything. So let's discuss that. If you have evidence, post it — don't use it as a tool to harass other posters — and then we can discuss that.

It can really be confirmed and it was already, Youtube video showcasing Star Marine being played uploaded 29/30th November (depending on your time-zone) ;)

Now you choosing to ignore it because it doesn't fit your narrative and you like to run circles around non issues lol aka trolling (in my books) it's your issue not cig or this thread.

That same modus-operandi was used when you (and darkoff) were saying that this video (https://twitter.com/dsmart/status/773252779913641985) was legit (as in unadulterated SC gameplay) and then were proven wrong when the source video was provided in full form here. Just another deceptive tactic that turned into dust, curious with the same common intermediates... [squeeeee]

But enough of no-issues, here's the latest leaks from offline Crusader:

Do you have a link?

Oh, and please use spoiler tags to keep the video previews from filling up the entire page.

Please don't try to derail the thread with your insults.
It's not an insult. It's a fact — you spent an entire page lying about me. Consequently, everything you say is worthless unless supported with actual third-party sources collected by someone else. So take your own advice: don't derail the topic with your continued badgering and harassment of me.

Now now ladies :)

Hugs for everyone! Look on the bright side - soon we'll all have a new build of SC to have a play around with, and marvel at it's exquisite delights in full, realistic, immersive, not-at-all-laggy-or-skewed-hitbox fidelity :)

Buy an Idris!

Yes I have, plenty of them actually. Feel free to pin this post and ask me when 2.6 goes public.
Youtube upload date will be there for you to check ;)

So post them. Otherwise, it's not really “confirmed”, now is it?

Now now don't get greedy ;) It's Star Citizen we are talking about, you are supposed to "understand waiting". [big grin]

And please, don't buy an Idris, go for the neat little guy, Le Herald!

Agreed. I think what's the issue for me is that there are people out there theory-crafting this whole thing away, as if I don't have better things to do with my time but to make stuff up - and blatantly lie - for the hell of it.

As they say, the worse thing for those people is not that croberts was wrong; it's that dsmart was right - about anything.

Just this past Oct, I wrote a lengthy blog explaining why it's absolutely ludicrous for anyone to believe croberts when he said that 3.0 was out this year - and hopefully before Dec 16th; when (according to my sources), he knew full well that it simply wasn't true. He just lied.

Now, even looking at the Powerpoints he put up for 2.6 to 4.0, it's clear that this isn't an issue of "missed schedules", but just utter nonsense. Just like all the times before that. Heck, look how many time they've shifted the 2.6 schedule they posted. Sure developments slip, but the effect is that they may as well not have even released it because they're doing the same (missing dates) thing anyway.

And based on those lies, he raised almost $15 million dollars from backers who trusted that he was actually telling the truth.

Here we are on Dec 5th, with a Dec 8th date for 2.6 going to the PU, and aside from the fact that it's buggy as hell, they will try to push it out regardless because there is a holiday sale coming up.

And just like that, everyone has seemingly forgotten that 3.0 was due out in Dec. But here we are arguing about SM (which is worse than any CryEngine mod btw) being in 2.6.

And judging by the fact that they want to release SQ42 in the first half of 2017; it stands to reason that as buggy as 2.6 currently is, not to mention all the lingering 2.5x bugs they have yet to fix, 3.0 is going to be a mid to late 2017 release, thus pushing 4.0 into 2018 - if they survive that long. In fact, I would even say that 3.0-3.3 won't even make it until sometime in Q4/17. Go look see half the crap that's in 3.x and you tell me how confident you are that it's going to be completed in 2017, just in time for 4.0 to roll out.

So this argument about SM is just a foolish distraction. The end result when it's released is that CIG - after receiving over $137 million dollars - somehow managed to release a crappy fps CryEngine mod that's hardly playable, let alone worthy of note.

It's all lies.

Quite right, let's not lose sight of the fact that CIG is almost on the verge of being close to delivering something very nearly marginally relevant to SC and S42 this year, defying all rational expectations. I expect December will be a record-breaking funding month.
