And was limited time sale for a week at first and available in a package after the original sale costing over 1k. Almost unlimited number of idrs was for sale along with the destroyer which was limited to 2k units but sold out in minutes everyday at 1pm.

it was an approximate goal. He did not set a date. He never does anymore.

Well, to some degree 2018 is approximately 2016...

As for that bit you have edited in, besides those cap ships (which according to this: https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/5dgvge/anniversary_sale_info_expectations/ were sold in 2014 sale, not 2015 one) being cash only (and at higher price level), which increased funding by not permitting people to melt their other ships, there were less Javelins available (and they are the priciest ships sold until now), and 890 Jump were sold for the first time since their introduction in 2013. So yeah, it's the biggest capital/rare ship sale until now.

The conclusion is clear: almost half of CIG's profit in this year's anniversary sale was generated by vanishingly small group of whales.

idris and Javelins are ALWAYS on sale on the website thru packages. and most of the people that own them didnt buy a 3rd or 4th one, so either CIG generated NEW wales or a larger majority bought more ships, either way it would take a large undertaking.

Ok, for the sake of argument i will give you that week sale, how do you explain then the other 51 weeks of constant ships sales throughout the year of new cash injection to the RSI website? These same wales are the only people purchasing ships?

and it also only covers one sale in a year lasting a week from a website that sales ships all year long. also, keep in mind, those number are NEW CASH injections, not old backers with currency capital on the website. i paid $350 for my Polaris by melting other ships.

So, to summarise. You have claimed that profit in holiday's sales is a sign of backer confidence, which is false becaue last year's was much better, then in the same post I have called it a flop you have mentioned the wildly successful anniversary sale 2016, which turned out to be successful thanks to the contribution of few whales.

No, just backers spending money on a project with the more then likely idea their purchase will fruit a result. That doesn't mean they all believe they would get what they paid for soon unless they bought already finished ships.

"which turned out to be successful thanks to the contribution of few whales."

Thats your opinion and a highly unlikely outcome.

I am assuming you never seen Star Trek because you would know that the series is based on a ship traveling a single solar system. Right?

I have never been quite so stunned in this thread before.

I quite honestly spent five pages with my jaw hanging open. You should have done some research before taking this on. If I was a cruel man I'd put that in my signature. We should probably move on while you take some time to watch Star Trek. Voyager too - they visit the delta quadrant which is just around the corner by the chemists.

You completely ignored my question about your NPC crew - are you imagining them to be like Scotty and Spock with individual back stories and characters generated by the game?

Is there any proof that it is new cash injection? I'm sure most of us would like to assume it is but one can never be too careful with marketing campaigns. We don't know if subscriptions are included for example and so on.

That's not an opinion, those are facts. 1000 Javelins, 1300$ each = 1,300,000$. 250 Idrises-P, 2700$ each = 675,000$. 1000 890 Jumps, 890$ each = 890,000$. CIG has earned 2,865,000$ from at most 2250 players in one week, where the total earnings were 6,738,501$. 42.5 percent of sales in the anniversary sale 2016 were generated from 2250 ships. Almost half of the profit from that sale was generated from whales. That is a fact.

Wow, when read like that it's pretty shocking to be honest.

December 2016 for 3.0.
That is a date.

And back when he uttered that date, it was completely clear that it was impossible. But that didn't stop him. But he was wrong. Again.
Can you appreciate the problem?
