I suspect the panic is strong at the moment - look at the recent sale's results. The Citizens have enough ships now - they need new concepts quick!

I'm stunned they're throwing out all their alien stuff right now spoilering all the design shock and excitement of discovering them in game/Sq42 before actually going on sale. That's gotta be pretty serious desperation

Anyone else thinking that the frequency of the sales is getting a bit... weird?

I mean, it's almost getting towards DFS levels of perma-sale...
(For the Britishally-challenged, DFS is a furniture warehouse chain that perpetually has some sort of sale going on.)

Now on at our showrooms in Thorpe Arch, Darley Dale and Wath-on-Dearne! This 7-seater Polaris, was $999, now only $799...

Wasn't differential patching part of Jesus aka 3.0 patch thingy?

I have no idea, I am no expert on their schedule whatever it may be. It seems like something they should implement as soon as possible for a number of reasons, not least frustration for the players having to download the whole thing again for some small fixes (and more bugs!)

Saving it for later for this mythical patch is bonkers - it should be completely unrelated, actually I just think they either haven't spent any time on it yet or just have been unable to do it.

Wait unto the F8 goes on sale...that will ruffle some serious feathers...only a matter of time.

AFAICT CIG have promised a Linux port, but (in 2015) that port was being held up by Crytek's support for openGL/vulkan?

As they have spun off their own engine version which is clearly incompatible, I am so sorry to say this to fellow Linux user, but I won't expect SC/SQ42 Linux version like ever.

Crytek rolled out their first OpenGL version recently, but if their money problems continue it most likely will be abandoned.

What I don't understand is how they still pulled in almost 100k yesterday. And the day before. And the day before.

Where the hell are all these people who still have money to throw at promises? And will they throw money my way if i make them promises?

Hold on, just need to draft a mail.

Dear reader,

My name is Prince Abu abu of Nigeria....

You know, i think i'm beginning to understand why these 419ers keep at it. It damn well works.

Search "Star Citizen" in YouTube, read video descriptions and decide if you would know NOTHING about it except these videos...why wouldn't throw your cash at it?

We live in echo chamber here, people really drink CIG Kool AId en masse, and they don't entertain idea to search more, because those are just 20/40 USD.

I find the changes in the flightmodel most astonishing. It doesn't look like tuning or refining, but rather they don't know in which direction they want to go. Considering this concerns the CORE of the game, there should be a lot of backers alarmed. Especially when the first portion of SQ42 is very close to release (yeah, sorry, it never gets old).

Elite OTOH nailed the FM right from the alpha and just tweaked it for PVP balancing (anyone remembers the changes in the speed limits while FA off and the heated debate afterwards?).

Something crossed my mind while I was watching this video.
When you walk outside to landing pads, you are held onto the landing pad by what...magnetic boots? Is that their "official" explanation ?
If so, what's holding the ships then? :D

Fideliciousness. It's attractive and irresistible.
