Posted by CMDR Waimser to reddit.

A HUD that emphasizes pure green for extra detail while using current pentile-based VR HMDs, while preserving the difference between friendlies and foes on the radar, and maintaining very good looking avatars. Downside is that station menus are a bit dark.

Edit: Not as good with the combat colors. But the avatars are nice.

This "Camo" color set is very similar to the "Marine Moto" set I posted earlier - but the HUD palette is a bit less yellow and closer to a military green. The portraits are still solid, but have a shade less contrast. The bonus with these color sets is the clear distinction between allies and enemies.
Allies are green.
Enemies are rust.

I really like this one; the shield circles are vaguely brighter than I might like but I can always adjust brightness. I'll give it a try next time I fire up elite!

Here's the one that I use and tweaked :) Features blues, reds, purples/pinks and some oranges... by far my favourite creation of the GUI colours I've used and created.

Code:
range: -200–200 %
<MatrixRed> 0.2, 0.05, 2 </MatrixRed>
<MatrixGreen> -0.15, 2, -0.5 </MatrixGreen>
<MatrixBlue> 1.75, -1, -0.3 </MatrixBlue>

I know I've been inactive here for a while, and I'm glad you like this theme, but it is exactly the same one I created for showcasing the HUD editor. It's even shown in the example screenshot of my post from 2014

Now, I did make the theme and the editor to share, but please don't claim that you made something you didn't.

Hi, I have been playing around with the GREEN HUD a lot to see if I can get the Avatars the right colour, for VR headsets the green works well, this is the closest I have got.
I would love for some feedback on this one.
0.5, 0, -0.5
-0.95, 1, -0.75
0.17, 0.31, 1
GUI Brightness lowered to about 4 pips
The only thing I'm not happy with is the the left and right UI panels show up sort of orange, they are OK but not green, the mission giving page is green though!
Thanks

Still toying with the above I have tweaked the settings to a better GREEN HUD, the old one had 'yellow' detail outside the canopy and the left and right UI were a bit yellowy too, which I wasn't happy with, these new settings have GREEN everywhere which is great for Virtual Reality viewing and the NPC Mission Givers are perfect. Reds are red for combat.

0.2, 0, -1
-1, 1, -1
1, 0.31, 1

This thread is epic.
If FD isn't likely to bring hud customization soon,
it would be welcome to at least be able to set the hud colour
ingame by using the schemes in this thread.

It is very much annoying to have to edit the graphicsconfig.xml
after every patch.

That's what my EDProfiler is for!

Hi Dr Kaii, If that comment is aimed at my contribution, thanks. I have sent you a request to join your group?

It was, and what group? Be more specific.

I've done this before but when i just tried the GraphicsConfigurationOveride.xml file doesnt contain the matrix values to change? All it has in there is:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<GraphicsConfig/>

What am i doing wrong?

<GraphicsConfig>
    <GUIColour>
        <Default>
            <LocalisationName>Standard</LocalisationName>
            <MatrixRed> 1, 0, 0 </MatrixRed>
            <MatrixGreen> 0, 1, 0 </MatrixGreen>
            <MatrixBlue> 0, 0, 1 </MatrixBlue>
        </Default>
    </GUIColour>
</GraphicsConfig>

Replace ALL text in your xml with that, obviously changing the Matrix colors dependent upon which color you want, this is the standard orange.

Basically you have to add it in, between those two lines, in the format Beylix has indicated.

F.Y.I.

If you only edit the "GraphicsConfigurationOverride.xml" file, then your HUD color change carries though each of the updates/patches (at least that is what I've seen)

...the link below is what I used to modify my HUD awhile back, before discovering this awesome thread, & happens to already be in OP's list of Useful Links on post#1 of this thread
