I think using the -31.7868 -128.9217 co-ordinates is a mistake, and the true value is -32 by -128, because that would make sense for a species and culture that revered AI and developed computing and loved geometry and symmetry.

Do you know how much distance is in .9 degrees? Cause -128 is not approximately -128.9. There's ~ 18km difference between those two points.

I couldn't really find one for windows that worked. I resorted to using audacity and leaving record on while using spectrograph mode. But I couldn't get it to work with a YouTube video of the UP image and kind of gave up.

If you have any luck (or find one that works with an iPad from PC) let me know.

guarDIANS and raDIANS have the last five letters in common, and as we have seen, they like threes, but they also LOVE fives! We're onto something here! Since D is the fourth letter, we are obviously looking for four sites. I means one in Roman Numerals, so it is either the first planet, or a class I gas giant. A is the first letter in Arsenic, and we have seen the Arsenic tie in on the planets, their homeworld must have had a N(itrogen) atmosphere, and the S...well the previous is all a bunch of (S)h...so all we need to do is look on the first planets or around a class I gas giant...

also, side thought, does anyone know of a realtime spectrograph software? thinking of running it off of sound output and overlaying it on my screen. Make it easier to see if im getting close to something

The typo is in the newsletter. A number was never mentioned in the galnet, only the names of systems which tallied to four.

I would say newsletter is wrong. the 4 systems we are exploring are named, that letter only mentions "Systems" but no name. Easy to make a typo with that but not a name of a system

Because three and four spelled out are so similar as to make an easy typo But yeah, I agree that it is probably four, but with all the crackpotting going on...

Just for itnerrest. The purple star with the rings in the original system casts a shadow on the planets moon and i bet on the planet, with a 303-313 heading.

Speaking of, I can't find it in the forum. Does anyone have the heading the long line in the middle of the ruins is on? I think it was 61 ish.

It was found based on frame analysis and stellar positions from the Guardians preview trailer. The devs acknowledged that they never saw that one coming, and was not how they intended this to go. So in other words, it was found by a completely unintended mechanic that is not available to us again.

The star system was triangulated by a player using the stars & nebula seen in the guardians trailer. They were able to pinpoint the specific planet in the star system by the moon. I believe the site itself was found by a brute-force search with 20-30 commanders.
