News 2.3 Dev Update

It might also be worth noting that they are currently experiencing 57mph gusts in the area, according to the Met Office and Cambridge Airport. I myself have had brown outs in power. It's entirely possible that they are having difficulty uploading, or are just too busy holding the roof down.

Oh the wind is not THAT bad. haha

I want to write an idea before Frontier launches its beta, well, it really is a thing I think. What functionality will deactivate Frontier before fixing it?

As far as we know the beta is more or less imminent. Unlikely the build will be changed before then now

Best bet is to try the beta, see how it fits with your idea and then post in beta feedback forums (which should materialise when beta releases)?

Write it down if you want, but 2.3 would have been locked down weeks ago.

21/09/2016 :) also I can't seem to find the post unless I click the link that someone has provided

It's because it's in the archive forums. People just can't stop themselves from digging and over speculating, rather than just waiting. It makes no difference and you just end up frustrating yourselves.

Same here in Cumbria, we've had normal weather all week ;-)

Here in the Midlands its blowing a gale, I had to close down a skylight on the roof as it was in danger of being lifted off. Also lost internet connection for a few hours early morning although its back up now. Local news is also reporting that a woman has been killed due to the weather.

Yep, nasty. Described as a 'weather bomb' (rapidly deepening low)? We tend to laugh at the weather in UK but having seen a tree land on someone's car with no survivors .. decapitated actually .. and having lived through a few 'proper' Pacific typhoons too .. I love high wind, but 'be careful the body' until it passes. o7

F5!

It is entirely possible that the CMDRs joining you in your ship are merely holograms and not physically in your ship.

That's meant to be what is happening, yes - which begs the question of what the point of seats or holograms are, when a simple indicator light would do exactly the same thing.

Haven't been around much recently for various reasons - just wanted to post and say that the commander's look phenomenal and I'm excited to see the further developments with 2.3.

Keep up the good work Frontier.

If they even existed, they wouldn't explain the use of holograms in seats on the bridge, either.

...because we are humans. Aesthetics. It helps to combat space madness. AND because we can so why not. I suppose one could argue that somehow the hologram is intertwined with the ships systems and has something to do with effective response times written in the code. There are any number of imaginative reasons that could be given if really needed.
