So only question now remains - why Chris doesn't give up? Stupid pride or they want to ride this baby till all blood is squeezed out?

I am still not convinced it is full scam, no one is THAT stupid. I suspect it is all down to Chris own pride and everything bad that comes to it.

It will make a great movie though, I can guarantee that. People are into 'failed prophets' like that. He will even become second Jobs, will speak at confs about how we all treated him poorly.

Genuine Roberts can't give up.

It's one of his fundamental characteristics.

He'll keep on doing the same thing, over and over again, until the end of time, because that is just what he does. And people give him money for it :(

Maybe one day he'll be able to make the movie he's always wanted to do - but until that day he will keep on trying absolutely anything he can to get to the making of that movie.

What's funny that I have to pay for my own mistakes.

Seems Chris have found formula that makes this rule void for him.

Even this outrageous didn't make me to care enough, but I have to say though - game media is worst. Seriously, even Kotaku published article without mentioning lies of 2016.

It is not like their prestige is too high to care even at this point but still...

Moving on. Laters compadres. Have a nice Easter/extended weekend.

What a fantastic week for SC fans.

We get an incredible view of the Javelin Destroyer. A 3.0 release schedule.

Personally I'm glad that Chris Roberts doesn't give up. He keeps at it until he gets what he wants, which means SC's PU and SQ42 are getting even further along. By the end of June we will have several planets and moons to land on, including ones with atmospheres. Thats some damn cool stuff.

I got a little downtime driving to Delphi to check out the latest videos from RSI and I was very impressed.

Things are looking damn good. We got 2.3 released for ED, and now 3.0 is coming for SC in a couple of months.

- - - Updated - - -

The Hull-C with its 4,608 units of capacity would take almost 5 1/4 days to unload with those numbers

Except the two ships are totally different; the A to E class frieghters use external mounts to hold cargo.

Not everyone wants insta-load-cargo.

By the end of June - CIG will have filled so many lulzbuckets I could build a planet out of them :D

I bet real cash that absolutely nothing happens ;)

What Roberts actually said was that there will be just three moons, and that one additional "planet-like asteroid" is a "stretch goal" (lol) for the June release. Which means it's the first thing that'll be cut as the deadline approaches. And there's no mention of atmospheres.

I don't get how they *can't* ship the planet they showed landing on in the 3.0 demo, what, 6 months ago?????? Oh right, that's because it didn't exist!!!

8 months, but who's counting.
I infer from his letter that the moons will be completely barren, since the only mention of a "landing zone" is on the asteroid. So that's not even at the level of the 2015 "pupil to planet" video, let alone the Gamescom demo.

Funding chart spike. On a weekend. No, that's not strange. At all.

Two (!) completionist purchases have come in today. And there is still time for more! That makes nine completionist pack purchases so far this year. I think all of last year I detected one, or maybe two.

70 minutes apart. Also note what could be Javelin add-ons after the $15k spikes.

completionist 1, javelin 1, 70 minutes later repeat

One of the vast array of things that makes me go totally cross eyed whilst considering star citizen is the tiny size of the 'verse (copyright Joss Whedon) for whats touted as a space game. Even the most expansive of the comedy selling points they'll never keep is 100 systems in total, which to be honest doesn't have much space in it at all. It's like a bijou 'versette.

Add in that they've flogged 10 different "exploration" ships for real world money and you wonder how the crikey all these budding explorers are going to fit into the tiny unexplored regions for the first few minutes of play before everything gets flags stuck in it.

Remember the advert with the ship landing on the unexplored planet, a handful of backers might do that.

In true CIG style they'll probably sell a head start token for even more cash. Two weeks head start sounds about right.

So Roberts posts a fishy half baked schedule with most stuff cut six months too late and he is celebrated like christ reborn. I just don't get SC.

It's interesting to notice they really nailed down their "solid tech foundations". All 23% of it, at least. *roll-eyes".

Seriously now, how can they proceed with all the rest when only 23% of core code is actually ready?!

It is a pretty incredible schedule, isn't it? Five things delivered already (within the first week of the schedule), and then on the first working day after Easter Monday Item 2.0 Quantum Travel will be ready. And then Solar System Shop Services on Friday the same week. If they can keep up this pace of development we'll have a playable game in no time.

When there's at least one landable moon or planet (not sure if they're delivering that 5th May or 31st May?) I will be delighted, and amazed.

Things that were said 2 years ago, things that were made up, things that will never happen.

Did I win?

I am the Hype video for the schedule (that in itself is about 7 months late) of the patch that was optimistically touted to be released 5 months ago.

Also the people who made the actual playable bits for SC/S42 (Behaviour?) left many months ago, but only recently is it deemed worthy of mention. If I were a fan of CIG, I'd be asking them how exactly they plan on going about the task of making a game now that the only people contracted to CIG that actually can make anything playable are long gone. I think this is all going to go very well, not so much for CR's fanbase though, I reckon they are about to get a lesson in why you never trust a used car saleman, who hasn't driven a car in 20 years, with money before you have the car keys and log book/title in your hand, ever. You certainly don't flatter the used car salesman with praise for selling you a car that was on a container ship that sank en route while he continues to promote the fidelitiously immersive velour seats and the ground breaking square wheels either.
