So... what to do with all that range? I know!

Obviously not a practical build, but is it capable of flying.

With a perfect 56% roll and a +4.5% fuel per jump boost with only 32% increase to mass you get 64.22ly max. Adding perfect 80% rolls to the life support and sensors that pushes it to an absolute cap of 71.85Ly but that opens the 4D engine grade and that 4 tons of weight lost means the theoretical max cap is 72.45ly (according to Coriolis).

You'll need to revise that calculation: Fireytoad (on his Twitch stream) has 74.87y and his friend has 75ly. :)

Two more ships (actually there are more, but I'm actually happy enough with these two to post them).

Edit: It turns out that without the Detailed surface scanner, you can't get ring composition info as well. I'm already juggling slots as it is, but I want to have a fairly independent miner (No need to purchase fuel for example, so the fuel scoop stays). I've decided to go with 6 Collectors + 64T instead of 3 Collectors + 128T; I'm not sure this is the best choice (I'm not a professional miner), but it did seem slow when I tested it previously with 3 collectors. I've updated the Python to reflect this, so it's jump range does drop:

Edit 2: I decided to swap out the 6.1T 3C Efficient MC with a 0.9T Lightweight MC. The damage drop isn't too big (~9%) and it allows me to at least hit a maximum of 40LY, sorry about all the edit's, I'm rather addicted to tweaking and engineering all my ships almost constantly... :)

Ship: Python
CMDR Name: Jimbo Jameson
Jump Range (Max): 40.30LY

Python jump range.png

Ship Name: Agathon (subject to change, I chose this name when I was aiming for a more exploration focused Python setup)
Jump Range (Full Tank): 39.32LY (16T Fuel tank)
1000LY trip jumps (approx): 26-27 (estimate)

I really wanted to turn it into an exploration ship (to join My AspX and DBX), but in the end, it couldn't really compete with my AspX and DBX. Range aside, my AspX could provide similar levels of durability with much better manouverability then the Python (excluding the AspX's terrible drift of course!); and once you factor the extra 10LY+ range into it, It was likely going to end up at home for most exploration work :(

I'm actually still not sure what to do with my Python, but have it setup to fill the role of a fairly lightweight mining ship (courtesy of my exploration focus lightweight mods that I installed previously), with some light defence/offence for the occasional PvE fight.

The new buffs have made this ship a very good choice for explorers seeking to navigate sparsely populated regions within the Milky way. With this ship, I managed to discover both HIP 6094 & HD 7531 (-2289LY below the galactic plane, nearly straight below the bubble); something that at the time I could not of done with my AspX (One of the biggest jumps was 106.12LY, so I needed premium Jumponium and a ship capable of 53.06LY).

Being able to tag HD 7531 made it clear how important jump range is when it comes to exploring sparse regions in space. It also made it clear that sometimes it is useful to be able to dump fuel: One of the jumps I needed to get to HD 7531 was right on the edge of utilizing a Standard Jump injection (instead of a premium injection), but I needed to lose some fuel. Since I did not have any way to dispose of it, I ended up flying towards the star I needed to jump to at full speed; both to reduce the distance and dispose of fuel...this unfortunately took ~30 minutes, so for this build, I made sure to place a lightweight Railgun on board (with plasma slug modifcation), so that I could dump fuel much faster.

So this is a fairly well equipped Exploration ship with decent shields for a pure lightweight explorer as I could not bring myself to take anything below 100MJ. It also comes equipped with a very light 0.22T 1D Rail Gun (plasma slug), for the purpose of dumping fuel if I should need to do so in the future.

Pretty good DBX range

I don't think that's the right link. Unless your DBX only has a ADS in your optional slots.

List updated! Impressive jump ranges you guys get [up]

Nearly 150 entries - I wonder how big the post can get before the forum code starts to complain :)

@ CMDR Reaper: the "1000 ly jumps (approx)" part isn't of much use, because it depends on the star density of the region(s) you are passing through. In the galactic core, the route planner can plot an almost straight line, thus using your ship's jump range to its fullest: as you go farther out, and the density drops, it'll be more zig-zagging. Thus the number of jumps per 1,000 ly depends on where you are. For example, a ship with a jump range of 40 ly will do 25 jumps in the core, but 32 a bit off the plane near the Seagull nebula already - and that's not even that far out yet.

Agree, its not very accurate since it depends on the star density. But its completely optional if you want to provide it and it's just a approximate number.

Asp Explorer, engineered, but not everything is at grade-5. I'm calling it "good enough" and am considering heading out to Sag-A* or Colonia, or something along those lines.

Ship: Asp Explorer
CMDR Name: The Tick
Jump Range (Max): 59.61 LY
Ship Name: The Remote Reason
Jump Range (Full Tank): 59.30 (6T tank, sorry)

This is with a quite decent FSD roll of +55.3%, and extensive loadout/module optimisation. In an explorer build, she manages 55.5 LYs.

Dang, you are the first CMDR with an Asp Explorer with more jump range than I that I've seen, seems I have work to do then (after I return from my trip to the southern limit of the galaxy)

My Lucky Day.
I just returned to the bubble last week with my alt and was not looking forward to grinding engineering again.
Was scanning for Datamined Wake Exceptions in a distribution center last night but when I logged in tonight the distribution center was gone. So I decided to head on over to Deciat with what I had which was 18.
After a couple of grade 4 rolls to get access to level 5, I rolled once and got 54.9%. I still have 17 Datamined Wake Exceptions left.

Took me about 80-ish rolls (4 hours sitting in a distribution center farming datamined wake exceptions...) to get the 55.1% roll that I have on this FSD. Been a while since I've docked so I don't have all the values but I'll put together a Coriolis when I'm back at Jaques.

Just shy of a 'unicorn' roll, +54.8% optimised mass, but managed it on my first roll of latest batch of materials. Got bit more of a weight-reduction on clean-tuned drives and sensors, this visit to Felicity, too. Also note, 6 T fuel tank for extra range. Have to stick to short hops or scoopables.

Would be nice if the 'show info' sub-tab on system panel showed modification properties the way outfitting does, not just 'this module was modified'.
