Release EDEngineer - an overlay to track your blueprint progress in realtime

Interesting ; I think you're confusing the app for another one as there never was any publisher name in the binaries of EDEngineer! I pushed a hotfix today to fix that issue https://github.com/msarilar/EDEngineer/issues/252
I just checked and the github hasn't been compromised, so it's okay on that side at least.

You are supposed to get a SmartScreen warning each time the application auto update (if Windows Defender gives a warning then it's a complete different issue as a threat would have indeed been detected).

Edit: I didn't understand the "Gamble" at first ; I think you meant gambit6, which is the name of the Windows machine I use to publish the application and I wasn't aware this was showed upon installing the app. I'll check this out tomorrow

no well the weird thing is that it appeared in the first place, that was not on purpose. maybe that was there in the early days of EDEngineer and it got cleared afterwards but Windows remembered it for a while? ClickOnce is sometimes weird.
but that gives me the idea of putting my actual name in the publisher name field for the next release! I'll try remember that
 
Bug - App does not understand monitor layout.

I have 3 monitors. My primary monitor is 3440x1440. My secondary monitor is positioned at 3440,0 and is 1920x1080. I have a third monitor positioned at 2640,1440 and is 800x600.

EDEngineer always shows up on my second monitor (the one to the right of the 3440x1440), but acts as though that monitor has a vertical pixel count higher than 1080. Upon restoring the window, there is a gap between the top of EDEngineer and the actual top of the 2nd screen. This does not happen if I disable my third monitor.

If I have been unclear, or any further information is needed, please let me know and I'll assist as best I can.
 
Yes indeed, no update came through recently! I am not playing the game right now (might come back some other time, we'll see what new content comes...) so I'm not actively working on the app. I actually think it's in a rather good shape and not really in need of further improvements as I want it to be simple and focussed on material tracking. I'll still integrate translations and new datas (like the recent thargoids stuff) of course :)

If you wanted to immediately get the latest version and not wait for the delay, the best way would be to reinstall.
 
Hey there folks I was wondering if there is a way to get ED Engineer to tell you when a blueprint in your shopping list is ready? It does it for favorite blue prints but how about just the ones completed in your shopping list?

I got lots of favs but sometimes I'm working on a certain ship and just want all the materials for those things in shopping list I'm working on right now.

Dont mind me, ED Engineer just told me the blueprints I was working on are complete

Amazing work, thanks a lot!

Does it automatically know which engineers you have unlocked, and filter out the recipes you can't make, due to not having the engineer unlocked?

Or, is there a way to tell it to do that?
 
Three questions, sorry if I was just blind:

- Is it possible to display a list of both data and materials that are used in no / none of one's chosen blueprints (discardable stuff);
- Is it possible to display a list of upgrades a specific mat/data is for, to quickly check whether one really needs it?
- Can the Shopping List be set to only display mats/data not already in storage?

elite dangerous modular terminals and all those 'others' like Chemical Distilleries what is still needed what is no good is there a list ?

Have not played in a while and have heaps of all the Mission mats on board

These have been removed from the blueprints some time ago.

Great cheers this I know already , I need a list of what is not needed , and what does that mean removed from use, from the game or just blueprints ?.. Do I need them for something else

THANKS but there's, no mention of modular terminals ..lol man it's like pulling teeth, trying to find out , and I'm asking here as Ive already done a google search

Got to be list somewhere of what WAS needed for anything to do with engineering and what ISN'T need anymore for anything related to engineering

Well strictly, you still need 25 modular terminals to get access to Marco Qwent so they're not entirely useless.

sure I wont be the only one coming back to the game , because there was NO STORAGE when the old system was taking up all the space, and now Frontier thinks we don't need it,
(wrong still need off ship storage !) given they changed was is needed for engineering & thus how its been stored.

As a result of all this, and my searches saying wait, in other web pages cause there's more engineers coming. I'm still a lot in the dark :S of what to keep

most of what I have is of the rare type ( or was ) or just time consuming to get, and the reason I stop playing, was I refused to throw all that work away, to make room, given the trouble in getting it and then trying to keep it, with all the interdiction, the materials would bring my way.

So hopefully someone can come up with a definite answer / solution to all of the above :D
