Terribly sorry.
You seem to be inferring I'm an idiot and I should listen to you. So you're actually saying that the game is not dead, and that it will not die?
I'm encouraged. No, seriously, you've picked me right up.

The community (or better the loudest part in the Dangerous Discussion subsection) is absolutely toxic
Do you even read?!
Yes, these people exist, but it's maybe 1/10. The community (or better the loudest part in the Dangerous Discussion subsection) is absolutely toxic.
Stop putting words in my mouth.
too much sugar is just as unhealthy as too much salt.
I have to admit I snorted pretty loudly.
I didn't. I suggest you leave for one hour, come back and read my post again. Maybe you realise that I said something completely different.Stop saying them then.
Also, "toxic" takes many forms - too much sugar is just as unhealthy as too much salt.
Everyones opinions are valid, and tell a part of the story from a certain perspective (even if the language can be colourfull at times)
The community said lots of things and they rarely agreed on something.
While everyone is ENTITLED to an opinion, NOT EVERY OPINION is valid. An opinion based on incorrect information, false premises or flights of emotional fancy have absolutely no validity.
I kind of agree with this to a point. I think the validity of any forum poster in voicing opinions is something that is earnt, rather than a right. Too many folks blurt out stuff, expecting it to be accepted by the majority and consensualised, and then either get divisive, hypocritical or downright teddy chucking about it when it isn't. Nature of the internet I'm afraid. And the Community Managers know that. They are good at recognising the patterns, or even when someone is being sarcastic without using a winky smiley face. It's a part of the job. Just leave it to them and have a laugh.
You just have to navigate any public forum with an element of experience and an attempt to be open minded. Even...at a push...well adjusted.
This place is never going to be a peer reviewed source of academic prowess, but the wisdomn of the crowd is identifiable for those that actually look. It's great to know that the powers that be are now doing so.
Which is sometimes difficult I know, I mean, have you been outside lately?
I saw a kid run into a wall the other day, without looking up from his phone. Presumably there was a Pokemon behind it.
I almost crashed the car I laughed so hard.
I said rarely, not neverLooking at the Beyond forum with the Crime and Punishment flavours, it seems a consensual exercise to me. I'm both heartened and encouraged.
A part of what needed to happen is to find a process through which the majoritive pattern could be recognised. Seems to be happening.
All good stuff.
Every opinion IS valid but not necessarily to other people, any opinion I hold whatever misinformation or lack of knowledge it's based on is valid to me because it's my opinion. no one else has to take any notice of it as it may not be valid to them but you can't dismiss as simply not valid at all because it is, to ME and i chose to share it.
So, treat it as horse if you like, but not as totally invalid.
Well, opinion is subjective isn't it. Maybe the thing we can agree on?
What's that Chinese proverb...? "Understanding is a triple edged sword. My side, your side...and the truth."
Getting at the truth is the trick. In an open system with many permutations and ways forward, factoring in many choices, by many different types of personality and beliefs....objective truth is difficult to come to understand. So a consensus is not only something that can be attacked or subscribed to, but it is a necessary vehicle for progress.
Like a horse.
Or something like that.
I think what's more problematic is that many people misinterpret each other on top of having different opinions...
Don't read 'em!
Ya can't change the world.
And you're not gonna change the people in it and you're not gonna change internet forum users.
The game has things that need to be done. FD are working on that.
The problem is that the expectations set by Frontier are not being met in a timely manner.
