Thargoid Interactions

Just been hyperdicted for first time, great fun! Had biological samples on board for Palin, just one jump from Maia. Only annoyance is I couldn't quite see the Goid, when I did, think it was red with some stripes on it, not seen that before, but too slow on the Share button, not sure I captured it. I'll look, and post later if I got it!

Nice! I have yet to get a good view during a hyperdiction as they always disable me.

Regarding NHSS6 - they appear to be showing in multiple systems around Electra - so far always in systems that haven't previously reported NHSS5....

HIP 17862
Pleiades Sector gw-w c1-14
HIP 17497

See the reporting spreadie (in the sticky reporting thread) in case of others [up]

Anyone charting the spread of the NHSS threat sixs?

Are they spreading at random or are they spreading in a concentric circle around a central star?

If so.. whats that star

Bill

"We're all gonna die screaming in a minute..."

I just received a report of one of our German Cmdrs that yesterday he was hyperdicted and killed on his final jump to Electra by a Basilisk. Is this of interest for you? Shall I try to provide more data?

Bill, in the Thargoid data gathering thread we're charting the areas of NHSSs generally, mostly via the manual logging spread sheet & the auto logging one via LCU No fool like one's EDMC plugin, feel free to join us :). The auto logging data is being fed to Canonn's 3d map as well as the spread sheet .
As well as finding out where the 6's are now appearing we still need to determine (for sure) how far out the NHSS 5s are going to (so far it looks like 150 LY bubble, with a void, centred on Merope).

Nice! I have yet to get a good view during a hyperdiction as they always disable me.

Do you mean the Thargoid data gathering thread? ....Oh you mean spread sheet! :p lol.
I didn't see you post this in there? (done it for ya)
Where did you get that list from?

Canonn discord live reports - few more now - mostly autoreported. Now interested in if the NHSS's are outside the Merope shell yet - and maybe in California / around other barnacle sites. No reports yet...

Edit: NHSS6 found in 10 systems so far:
Electra
HIP 17225
HIP 17497
HIP 17862
Pleiades Sector DL-Y d67
Pleiades Sector GR-V b2-1
Pleiades Sector GW-W c1-11

Still in HIP 17000.
I have lots of NHUSS here , maybe a link between black holes & thargoids? Something likes that had ever been mentioned?

Ive been away for a while... Dropped for the first time in NHSS6 at Electra. Basilisk waked out, I boosted and tried to get closer for better look. I was bumped back from something invisible 2 km in front of the wake. Came back and I was able to close scan the wake. Normal?

Just landed in Cavalieri (Electra). Right after the jump into this system and heading for Cavlieri I met 5 NHSS Level 5. Closer to the station then I met 2 NHSS level 6. Dropped out at the one 0.22 ls away from the station and found it empty exept a thargoid sensor probe which scanned me. It was just a scan without any green tentacles. I tried a test and could destroy it with my rockets. The remnants were two fragments which were resistent to further shooting. In the course of my action no Basilisk appeared.

Well feeding 5 meta alloys to a basilisk rendered it nice and docile... it even let me scan it.... shortly afterwards a cyclops dropped in as well

No hostility between the two to report

So I think that kinda blows a hole in the '2 races of thargoid' theory unless they are from the same race and we just haven't seen the more hostile ones yet ... :O

Bill

PS everything above occured in Electra

My wing is currently conducting research on the Thargoids. One member on PC fed 50 tons of meta alloys to a Thargoid. Same thing happened though with a second jumping in but all was docile until they attacked without provocation. 2k distance, Hardpoints stowed and no other cargo. The data gathering continues on all platforms.

Did any of the MAs expire? That'll cause them to go hostile.

Yep :)

Fancy reporting that one to the manual NHSS logging spreadsheet? Link in Thargoid gathering thread op.

Factabulous
I've copied your last post to the data gathering thread, feel free to post there yourself ;)

Make sure you fill in the forms then your discoveries can go on the map.

I have just delivered a new version . NHSS 5 are red NHSS 6 are yellow. Grey have been surveyed and not NHSS found up until now...

Don’t forget there's a 10year plan for ED, so I don’t expect Klaxians to start to appear until Q2 3304 at the earliest ......;)

Nice work :)

It's kind of strange - Looking at this, I can't honestly feel like Merope is significant. the NHSS6's are clearly centering more rimwards and south...

Really awesome to see this visualised in 3D :)

Is anyone else seeing an "angle" here?

It's hard to show on 2D! But if you draw a line between Merope and California, it looks like the NHSS6 are appearing along that line - like they're moving in from that direction? It's much easier to see if you look at the 3D map :) What do you think? Is there some positional info we're getting from this?

I don't know. It appears to me that the gaps appear in the areas where less CMDRs would naturally have travelled. In other words, we see a greater concentration of points on the SOL side, because most CMDRs are coming from that direction. And we see less on the far side, away from SOL, because fewer CMDRs actually go out that way.

To me, Merope still looks like the center point, based on the data we have so far. Or HIP 17692, that looks pretty central to me, as well.

Of course, I could easily be wrong, too.

The map is awesome though :)
