So why are you so salty? If it's a community filled with people you don't like and think are toxic, why do you want to be a part of it so badly?
When these gentlemen lose in anyway shape or form its either 1. Your using broken mechanic's (heal beams, premium ammo, flying backwards, packhounds, gimballed multi's , heat weapons , 4-0-2 to pips) OR 2. Your Cheating. Now if its not these two excuses , they will find more imaginative ways to create an excuse on how you won with some sort of broken advantage. Sometimes they way these guys talk you would think they are gods that cannot be defeated. Their ego's so large that when their methods are defeated by better ones they call "cheap, use of broken mechanics", when in fact your just using what is available in game. In this case, it was proved by Fdev that is was lag. If you had not submitted that to fdev , these's guys would of ridiculed and bashed on you until the end of days. And this is the REAL truth on why the PVP hub exists, so they can have it their way.

When someone exposes the truth. That's another thing that need's to be pointed out. Anytime you disagree with any of these guys, the insults and bashing never stop. In Fact the Reason why GCI discord is so toxic is because you guys on anyone that doesn't agree with you. You guys bully and bash people into thinking your methods are better, and if they don't agree you ridicule them, and single them out. EVERYONE NEED'S TO REMEMBER, PVP HUB IS RUN BY SDC,A.A, RSM, etc all groups that gladly went around using broken mechanics to grief an gank everyone, laughing in the process.
Our methods are better, though. That's why we won the PvP league 2 years in a row, and why your group lost every single round they played.
Respect, Jay! When you 13th Legion guys lose your cool you really lose it. Personally I don't see why you're making such a big deal about it; if a club has a set of rules they expect players to conform to, that's just the way it is. I actually rather like it, as long as it's evenly applied. Not having to put up with serial cloggers such as Herbrand is a good thing IMO. And if they put strictures on certain weapon load-outs such as premium ammo, who cares as long as everybody conforms?
That's what I don't get. He calls all of us toxic and losers but wants to be in the hub so bad that he's complaining about us not conforming to his preferred rule set. Why would he care if we're all so toxic?
If you want PvP with healing and synth, make your own discord, Jay.
It does seem a bit petulant. I think you raised a very solid point in regards to tactics when he cited SDC/AA involvement as a negative value: why the heck would I not want the winners and runner ups in the PvP league to be the ones giving the instruction? The demonstrable manner in which these two groups outdistanced themselves in the PvP League from the 13th was massive, and it was done with nearly vanilla ships so each victory rested unarguably on skill and tactics.

Again that's just your Opinion , and you think that way because of the game style you choose to play . i use a pack hound build with gimballed multi's and i think, and again only my opinion, P.A's with tlb is over powered and should be nerfed, even some of you calling it META. Only instead of crying cancer and saying they should be nerfed and completely removed, i find Awesome and creative ways to try and adapt against the builds that might potentially counter mine. That's the beautiful thing about engineering and elite dangerous... There is always a counter to a counter. That's what makes this game fun and challenging at times. Saying things like it should be "completely removed" is just plain immature and clearly demonstrates your one sided opinion. Perhaps you say this because its the counter to you build? judging by your comment, thats probably the case.
A lot of the initiatives headed by notorious PvP groups such as SDC seem to be surprisingly loved by the rest of the community...strange that
Kudos to another great PvP initiative, and love to all showing love for PvP here - as long as players don't get the idea this is the only acceptable way to do it.
Haven't joined any PvP initiatives yet, but now I have some time on my hands...perhaps so.

This is an acceptable way to do it...and it might not be the only way..but I promise you if this was the way the majority of the PVP crowd would behave, there might be a lot more folks in Open.
Nice to see people taking an initiative in trying to fix the PVE/PVP relationship and can hope that others would follow suit....who knows, you might even see PVE and PVP players playing together more to battle the real criminals in the game.

This Conversation is greatest example of what you guys do to people in GCI and Now the PVP hub. you guys gang up and bash on people because they think soemthing differently then you. I chose to Speak up against the discrimination against other peoples opinions and continual harassment for having a different opinion, which you guys are famous for doing. Hopefully the mod can recognize the REAL issue here which isn't just simple in game mechanics, its the cyber bullying that is present in the PVP community that need to be addressed. Its an ongoing serious issue and is the reason for the so called "toxic" levels in the community

You're the one asking us to change, and we simply said "no."

Take their engineering crutches away and they are nothing. Even better, they now refuse to be a part of the hub where their crutches can't be used (as agreed upon by the entire community except themselves). Turns out people like fighting with and against skill rather than broken mechanics.
Jay, if you want to make your own group with 3hr healing beam fights, premium packhounds, and HD stacks, you're free to make your own discord and see if anyone wants to join you. No need to keep trying to disrupt the PvP hub if you don't want to be a part of it.

And I haven't even been on the GCI discord channel more than once or twice in the last four months, so this is no "GCI conspiracy" as you suggest. This is just me, a guy who hardly plays anymore liking the sound of a cool, laid back place for like minded players to get together and have some fun skill based contests. Simple as that my friend.

You linked a video from the qualifiers, which was not part of the main league. When you got to the league with the big players, you guys lost every single round. The streamers had more kills than 13th did.

GG boys great conversation tho, my intentions are not to stir things up, but to make the mods aware of whats going on behind the scenes of the pvp world. This Game is meant to have fun no matter what style you choose to play, and people shouldn't be bashed on for it. Its a video Game... And we are all human's and words can be very powerful especially used in negative ways. Stop being so nasty, cause your on the internet and it's easy. Why not be helpful, and encouraging instead? is that so hard? I know that if some of you started thinking about that, Our PVP community would probably be a better place with a lot more players. Negativity and hate is draining and pointless. Its fun to have enemies in game , but when things get personal, it becomes uncomfortable for everyone.
interesting. i've read through that stuff (not examined the actual logs in full detail, neither watched the video).
it appears harry makes a strong case with the hits registered in the log, without observable damage. however, you are right in that this can't be conclusive (of you shield hacking) without knowledge of the protocol and the precise meaning of logged events. sadly, it seems damage is not logged at all. why you didn't take damage is unclear. with the current evidence (logs and frontier's response) i would guess the most probable cause is indeed client desynchronization, due to lag, packet loss or whatever, which doesn't surprise me the least with this lamebutt p2p implementation they had the balls to sell us (i have experienced similar things (and worse) myself several times).
what strikes me is that this should be obvious to harry too. as an experienced elite pvp player he must have witnessed this quite often, and know better than most how flaky the network implementation is. and i understand it's annoying, but it's still no reason for such a serious accusation, nor to stubbornly insist in the undeniability of those log entries that actually prove nothing. it's also very sad to read how a bunch of other cmdr's cheer along with that nonsense and single you out. one would hope they are not really representative of what's being purported as 'the finest of elite pvp'.
that said, there is no excuse for combat logging. you should rot in solo!
