Na dude its pretty factual.
Since everything in this game on the way to PVP greatness is based around the monotony of PVE.
PVE which is designed to be super duper accessible to the masses.
To get to PVP greatness you need to master every part of PVE to be the most efficient and best at it you can be. To remove as much previously mentioned monotony as possible.
Mastering builds - Check
Mastering mining - Check
Longest fastest Exploring - Check
Killing NPC dialled up to 11 - Check ( I often do this AFK )

Killing NPC Thargoids first - Check
I am sure there are loads more I have managed to blank out but have mastered.
But you get the jist.
PVE is crazy easy, PVP is hard. Ergo.. PVP players are better at PVE because they had to be to get to PVP level mastery!
Yes, it's easy, so why do you not think at least some PVE players are at least as good at it? Honestly this 'I've got to be better at you than everything' epeen nonsense is getting real old. Most of the PVP players who post here at least claim to hate PVE because it is 'predictable', 'boring' etc etc, fine, you guys will look for efficiency savings where you can, but so do PVE players, what you will also do though, (as will some PVE players), is look for cheats, exploits and shortcuts and holes in the game.
Mastering Builds - copying them - check
Mastering mining - PVE miners and non miners too - check
Longest Fastest Exploring - bovine manure on that one
Killing NPC's dialled up to 11 - oh wow, that must be some challenge in your zero cargo, 0.5 ly jump range builds.
Forcing Instancing - as I said earlier, holes in the game/exploits - do you honestly think logging out to the menu and back in again makes you 'good at PVE'?
Mastery of Background mechanics - highly debatable, there are groups of PVE players out there that know this stuff inside out, I question whether you know as much as you think you do.
Exploiting - yeah, that doesn't make you good it makes you a borderline cheat.
Surface high jinx - /facedesk
Power player manipulation - what, moving PVE trophies from A-B, oh yeah baby, that's some top notch bro skillz right there.
Killing NPC/Thargoid first - no doubt about you guys and your combat skills, (well some of you), but again, a ship that's good for frak all except pew pew being able to shoot stuff?, hardly groundbreaking is it?
Yeah, don't think there are any there let alone 'loads more'.
