That isn't a 'fact' in the slightest, and even if it was how on earth would you know how good a PVE player is at, you know, PVE? And by the way using the latest exploit, screw up by Frontier, error in code or learning to copy something off Youtube doesn't qualify as 'better' - fact.

Na dude its pretty factual.

Since everything in this game on the way to PVP greatness is based around the monotony of PVE.
PVE which is designed to be super duper accessible to the masses.

To get to PVP greatness you need to master every part of PVE to be the most efficient and best at it you can be. To remove as much previously mentioned monotony as possible.

Mastering builds - Check
Mastering mining - Check
Longest fastest Exploring - Check
Killing NPC dialled up to 11 - Check ( I often do this AFK )
Forcing instancing to generate required USS - Check
Mastery of background mechanics - Check
Exploiting game mechanics for financial rewards - Check
Surface high jinx - Check
Power player manipulation - Check
Killing NPC Thargoids first - Check
I am sure there are loads more I have managed to blank out but have mastered.
But you get the jist.
PVE is crazy easy, PVP is hard. Ergo.. PVP players are better at PVE because they had to be to get to PVP level mastery!

There is no reward for winning systems, There is no PVP involved like there is supposed to be. So they probably said screw it.

Still, never mind eh?

And where is it written that there is ‘supposed’ to be a way to gain control over systems via PvP?

Actual facts please, not merely your suppositions.

One person? Out of 40k+? How is this significant?

Very, because not all mobius members are there for BGS or even care about.

As a matter of fact if you go to the mobius forums. They have outcries asking for help.

They dont care about the BGS, only a select few actually take part in it. But when they do they use the safety of the modes.

MOBIUS is used as a PVE server just like in World of Warcraft. But they have no problem trying to effect others and fight over territory. Thats PVP no matter how dice it.

So the ACTIVE people is what matters.

Just like that one guy around here thats not active in any of it and is a an explorer. Trying to govern and tell us how to play the game when it comes to PVP, yes BGS between player factions is PVP.

Just like two teams fighting in League of Legends is PVP With the element of PVE like minions and towers (objectives taken).

LITERALLY NO DIFFERENCE HERE.

So the significance is the ACTIVE people not the people flappin their gums here that dont take part in any of it.

PVP is PVP I dont have to directly shoot you to PVP.

Although I should be able to defend a system by doing so. Or attack players in theirs trying to maintain their %'s

Thats what PVP should be used for. Like in overwatch or league of legends, Dota, WoW. "Direct PVP" is very much part of the game. Especially if I kill you with a fat stack of 20 missions setting you back in influences, rebuy and time.

Yes, it's easy, so why do you not think at least some PVE players are at least as good at it? Honestly this 'I've got to be better at you than everything' epeen nonsense is getting real old. Most of the PVP players who post here at least claim to hate PVE because it is 'predictable', 'boring' etc etc, fine, you guys will look for efficiency savings where you can, but so do PVE players, what you will also do though, (as will some PVE players), is look for cheats, exploits and shortcuts and holes in the game.

Mastering Builds - copying them - check
Mastering mining - PVE miners and non miners too - check
Longest Fastest Exploring - bovine manure on that one
Killing NPC's dialled up to 11 - oh wow, that must be some challenge in your zero cargo, 0.5 ly jump range builds.
Forcing Instancing - as I said earlier, holes in the game/exploits - do you honestly think logging out to the menu and back in again makes you 'good at PVE'?
Mastery of Background mechanics - highly debatable, there are groups of PVE players out there that know this stuff inside out, I question whether you know as much as you think you do.
Exploiting - yeah, that doesn't make you good it makes you a borderline cheat.
Surface high jinx - /facedesk
Power player manipulation - what, moving PVE trophies from A-B, oh yeah baby, that's some top notch bro skillz right there.
Killing NPC/Thargoid first - no doubt about you guys and your combat skills, (well some of you), but again, a ship that's good for frak all except pew pew being able to shoot stuff?, hardly groundbreaking is it?

Yeah, don't think there are any there let alone 'loads more'.

The people who are really skilled in PvE realise it's not about competition. When people start talking about being better at PvE than the next guy, the skilled PvEers chuckle, shake their head and nudge each other.

The miner who enjoys mining is getting more out of PvE than the CMDR who mines for resources for engineers. It doesn't matter how fast he mines, or how much credits he makes, it matter how he experiences it.
The explorer who wastes a day on a planet only filling up his experience bank roaming around on the surface is getting more out of exploring than the CMDR who went 5.000 LY for a requirement, or traveled to Colonia.

PvE is about enjoying the experience, not being better than the next guy. The ing contest mentality ruins the experience.

I hope some day you guys will understand what I'm talking about :)

We're not talking about personal progression. We're talking about people intentionally effecting other player faction. Keep on talking showing you have no clue what you're talking about.

More suppositions. Sounds increasingly like you just want PvP to be the answer to everything, and you’re getting more and more worked up that it isn’t. Which is a shame for you, but not my problem.

Elite, like it or not, is not a PvP game. It’s a PvE game with some optional PvP aspects. I’m sorry that you have a problem with that, but make no mistake that it is your problem.

By this definition PVE doesn't even exist, making this whole discussion moot. Is that what you are trying to say?

Dude you are just wasting your time.........

Hopefully not. Hopefully the people that MATTER see this.

Because they will understand it.

If I dont speak up, or others dont speak up and let everyone else trying stop stop PVP all together then they win.

I will fight for this until the day I stop playing this game.

Because I cannot let it stay the way it is now.

No, A very large portion of this game is based of Player Interactions. The BGS numbers and influences +++ soon to be +++++. Ship design, Modules ALL OF IT. Is all governed around player interactions.

There are people that just login and shoot some ships, randomly trade for personal progression all that stuff. But arent intentionally working one system against someone else, they wouldnt even know how most of the time.

It takes lots of time and dedication to do that. Weeks as a matter of fact.

Basic "PVEers" have no stake in this.

Im talking about the people that try to directly effect someone else.

No direct PVp is not part of the game...why? Because the game is easy to cheat. Plain and simple. Not going into specifics...but, there you have it. Instancing and Router fixes, not included.

Past that, we just start going into the circle, because you refuse to see the facts of the situation.
