Anyone genuinely role playing as per my previous post is perfectly entitled to shoot an unmanned ship.
Just a pity that it ruins the game for others. It's your way or the highway. We get it.

I've not actually blown anyone up in the game, never griefed anyone (but been griefed several times), never even fired a shot at another Commander in anger. But if someone genuinely wants to role play the idea that getting involved with Guardian tech is likely to bring Thargoid wrath to the bubble then they're perfectly entitled to try and stop players visiting Guardian sites. Personally, Id give them a warning and ask them to leave before opening fire if I were involved.
You really think so..?If the player in question had the intestinal fortitude to just admit he was having some fun at the expense of others most here would have a chuckle and immediately forget about it.
Anyone genuinely role playing the idea that messing with Guardians tech will make us a target for Thargoids is well within their rights to shoot at people.

That wouldn't happen to be the same PvPers who have spent the last few weeks in Solo gathering mats and re-engineering their ships, would it?![]()
I think they're asking for consistent RP, not for the shooter to make up a new one for every scenario. One is playing a role, the other is creating an excuse.
No you wouldn't. You lot are wedded to the idea of being angry and out of sorts.
I'll have you know in Mobius we fly au naturale.
A long time ago; as a role play thing. I sat in a cold Cobra IV, waiting in a dark place, for commanders to land and start shooting the Barnacles. I intended to kill their ships; in an effort to protect the Barnacle sites. However: No one turned up and after a couple of session of total boredom, I gave up on the idea. Not sure how close this puts me to the pond life in question today? But as a role play thing, I felt; at the time, it was a valid idea.
Nah, it was already fine before, it's absolutely within the game rules to protect the guardian ruins from the defilers, which I started doing when the very first one was added.
Please forgive my naivete but wouldn't destroying a ship containing artifacfs obtained from the site destroy those artifacts, losing them from history forever? Would it perhaps make more sense to ask the "defiler" to return those artifacts to the original location?
I am the OP. Just a couple of points:
I wasn't messing with the Alien Tech in the Guardian Structures, I was doing the Ram Tah mission to scan 101 obelisks for the data, I was at a Guardians Ruins site, not a Structure
He attacked my ship first because I got the "Ship under attack" warning. I managed to get back into my ship and it had 10% hull left and alas, exploded within the next second or so. Didn't get chance to take off.
If this Commander is serious about "protecting the Alien Ruins from defilers" then surely a message to an offending player saying leave this site within the next X number of minutes or I will shoot you or your ship ??
That might have done the trick !
