Nah the new c&p is awesome, just like real life you murder some one say in florida well that makes you a wanted criminal, you move and head to say georgia, ah ok great i'm in a new state so im scott free, nah all you cry babys out there complaining about the crime and punishment are like saying we wanna be criminals but not face no repercussions and everything else that goes with it, i understand a opps i hit a non wanted player or npc by mistake yeh kinda sucks but actually committing crimes just like in real life always has repercussions, so the good old saying goes cant do the time dont do the crime.

Roman Polanski disagrees.

This Guys are right, I'm one of the Do Good'ers and i'm full of fines on my ships just because i'm flying fast enough on the mail slot, most of my ships are looked because i forgot to pay the fines !!!, and now i have to go to a low security system just to release the fines ????

Even Good Guys commit crimes against criminal or just antagonistic factions, let us live with the continuous stalking of Bounty Hunters, but not this !!!!

Well there is a speed limit so just saying you point is pointless<< simple go out the mail slot less than 100 then clearance is given then you can speed, simple really.

All bounties detected with the Kill Warrant Scanner are claimed when the ship is destroyed <- Great
Fixed Chieftain cockpit hit region being oversized <- Great.

No fix for NPC powerplants?
No fix for the Chieftain interdiction reticle?

The hot ship outfitting lock is a very poor solution imo.

Thank you for the updates.

What does that mean? I know what wing delivery and collect missions are but what is being changed/fixed?

Outta curiousity. have you tried paying off PP bounties/fines at an Interstellar Factors site?

Rajmund Roman Thierry Polańsk , he has been a fugitive from the U.S. criminal justice system, having fled the country while awaiting sentencing for statutory <<< You see criminal and fled the country yet he is still wanted. Lets make it easy on yall, if your wanted let me know where you are, i will come in my vette and collect the bounty and thus relieving you of that god awful bounty or hot ship.

You have to haul between 2 and 4 times as much as before, for the some money as before. "rebalance", you know...

If I murder someone in Florida, then move to a place with no laws, I’m pretty sure they won’t mind. The whole C&P system relys on Anarchy systems being homes for career criminals. Whether you agree with that play style or not, it doesn’t matter. It’s valid.

It's my understanding that affixing "hotness" to a module was to allow the player to store said modules as a means of making his ship usable until the player can "clean" the modules later. By locking outfitting to ships with hot modules, you've now done away with this intended feature and essentially made the ship itself "hot" until cleaned. If you're basically doing away with that intended feature, why not go the extra step and just make crime and punishment tied to our ships themselves instead of the modules? It's what is now done in practice anyway and makes more sense on 2 levels: 1) It simplifies and streamlines the game play and, 2) it also makes it more realistic in terms of role play - in real life, a police All Points Bulletin is issued for a driver and/or his car, not his engine block or tires.

The ship has always been "hot until cleaned". You don't spend much time as a criminal, do you?

In my opinion that ship and module is now illegal. So no honest outfitter (edit: even in anarchy they can be honest) wants to be involved in someone elses crimes. But my idea would be that there should be some special outfitters that allow the removal or exchange of some modules for an appropriatle high price (what are your billions good for?)

That price should depend on the height of your bounty and or notority. The higher the bounty/notority, the higher the price.

Correct, possibly a connection to the black market that some stations have. I mean after all, it's supposed to be a black market, and as such, doing illegal cleaning of mods whould or should be one of their features.

Yes but also if that is to be put into the game it should be costly to clean a hot ship or module at the black market.

Found these on another thread....

Hi,

Just to comment. I have changed the cargo requested curve very slightly, you may see more at lower ranks but the absolute maximum that can be requested should not have increased significantly. I have also attempted to increase the rewards of delivery wing missions so that there are less negative comparisons to "solo" delivery missions. If people are seeing missions that have extreme reward issues I would love to see some screenshots so that I can try and diagnose where my fixes have missed the mark.

Adam

Hi,

Yes we have reduced the number of wing missions you will see on each board. They were taking over somewhat. Feedback on how many you are seeing please!

Adam

Hi,

Just to be clear my comments were related to the wing delivery missions only. I have not touched massacre or assassination at this time.

Adam

Looking at the numbers, the ranges are:

Old - Between 375 and 7500 units of cargo
New - Between 320 and 8,100 units of cargo

If anyone has seen cargo above 8,100 I would be really interested to see that as it means my maths is wrong!

As for the rewards, cargo is an element but we take several factors into account including distance, rank, reputation and distance from the star.

Well it might of solved a few problems but its made the game unplayable ... Every time I'm about to drop into orbital cruise, the game bangs out to desktop.

I´m not sure what to expect from the C&P changes. They were far from perfect before this patch, with 3.0.3 it seems FD are applying more of the same: they send you to timeout. All the punishment is WAITING. As if I there isn´t enough waiting already. Do you know how much time I spent waiting for HGE?!? Excuse my rant.

I think 3.0.2 was fine when you planned to stay wanted, but this is gone with this new patch. Not being able to refit hot ships is a punishment, that look like you only spent 5 minutes thinking about it. Does no one @Frontier play as pirate or criminal? Who has these ideas? Am I not masochistic enough?

When it comes to mixed activities, like playing the BGS, it sometimes happens that you become wanted. The status of 3.0.2 was horrible with this already, because you carry your notoriety over to another ship. Then you do a assasination mission in a clean ship, kill the target´s fighter, get a murderbounty because of a game bug. ONE WE ALREADY HAD in, idk, 2.3 and find yourself unable to pay off at IF. Because of notoriety. So somehow, abrakadabra, they do know who was in the ship that killed all these SysSec. What now FD? Ship or pilot - who or, possibly, what commited the crime?
Even a 400cr. bounty is enough to reject all services in my home station. I´d have to wait up top 20 hours to continue doing something civil?!? ("...we do not want to waste your time..." - well, you are actually doing it right now, more than ever before, FD)

I don´t get it. Is it the ship or is it the pilot that´s wanted? Please FD, pick one, the actual system is highly illogical.

I´ll try it tonight. I hope for the best but i fear for the worst. This C&P is so halfbaked, it is an insult to the hard working criminal. Apart from that it is still pretty much toothless against playerkilling, one of the reasons it was implemented iirc.

I could go on and on but I´ll better stop now.

Outfitting of ‘Hot’ Ships

We’re changing the crime system when it comes to ‘hot’ ships.

The reason for this is that the system of cleaning ‘hot’ modules in storage was creating an unfair punishment, where commanders were removing modules from ‘hot’ ships that only had small bounties on them and then discovered that the cost for cleaning ‘hot’ modules was dramatically more expensive!

From 3.0.3 you will no longer be able to access outfitting at any port whilst in a ‘hot’ ship, thus you will not be able to make any load-out changes. You’re required to first clean the ship by paying off fines and bounties issued against it. Outfitting services will then be restored.

I see some potential issues here if you have a ship with a very low jump range, you would now be unable to replace your FSD if you have no access to outfitting? And if you cannot jump to a system and access shipyard, you would be stuck.
So if you have a very low jump range, you could find yourself stranded at a detention center. I had luck, I could jump a starport a few jumps away, where I could both buy new a FSD and even change ships due to a shipyard. But if I could not plot a course to a system with a such a star port, what would my options in that case be?
