Stop killing immersion for the sake of Atari gameplay.

Because instant transfer is lame-y game-y and doesn't make any sense? Same reason we can't just pick a destination 30,000 Ly across the galaxy and one-jump there.

Yep, unless you use multicrew, but less said about that the better in my view. Also there are some who think that we should be able jump these huge distances in one go.

Good solution! Though it's exactly the kind of a workaround that doesn't address the underlying cause, isn't it? :)
Yes, you can keep eating soup with a fork, it'll work somewhat until you get a spoon.

Frontier, can we finally get that damn spoon, or "there is no spoon"? :p

FDev spell "spoon" without the "p"

:p

2 hrs for cargo load is not ok. 4 month for repairs is not as well. Those aspects are necessary same as respawn and absence of a relativistic time and realistic movement models.

I wonder if repairs took longer but you also could repair yourself in flight. So you could either wait in station for them or carry on and affect repairs whilst underway (a long SC journey you would have something to do).

All I know is that when I talked about the issues with missions regarding instant transfer, Michael Brooks asked to clarify what issue with missions. So I told him, mission restriction would be pointless. Shortly after that, there was a change of tune within FDev towers.

Whether it was to do with what I had said or not I don't know. As for the reasons why people voted against instant we do not know either apart for yourself and the people you know personally.

So as to the reasons it got changed from instant to timed, we don't really know.

there was a vocal part of the community that pointed out a few game breaking things to do with power play - how asp taxi's would be the new travel method, why bother flying ships if you can instant transfer both your ship AND yourself via telepresence, how you could call your fleet into a system people were trying to defend - oh I need my battle conda and I'm in my Eagle dammit - better just make a call...

So where does you entitlement end
You asked nice and didn't get what you want
What next be antisocial
If that doesn't work are person threats next?
Property vandalsim?
Clearly it is you right to get what you want no matter what so any means justify the ends right.

Is the concept that just because you want something doesn't mean it is yours get mean anything to you?

Probably not

Bloody hell all I said was "we tried asking nicely" - in response to someone claiming that those of us that care enough to try had been all aggressive and "stomping our feet" from the outset and I was merely stating that during the alpha development phase we asked nicely.

The DDF asked nicely.

EVERYONE asked nicely - because FDev had not yet displayed the lack of care that they have so many many many times.

After 6 years ANYONE can be forgiven for having not much patience with a company that has habitually displayed:

- Lack of playtesting
- Bring unable to banish bugs that have been present since the alpha
- CONSTANTLY saying that content "was in development" and it not appearing
- CONSTANTLY using the phrase "we are looking into it" that I'm certain is code for "we are ignoring you, but we can't actually say that; so we are going to tell you that we looked at it, and decided to ignore it."
- CONSTANTLY giving explanations for things that are so blatently lies, or half truths that it's insulting.
- CONSTANTLY putting out information on the health of the playerbase that is misleading - such as the "2 million units sold" - it's not 2 million copies of the game, it's 2 million sales of the game, cosmetics, and merchandise. Because that's what thier infoprmation given to companies house says - they can "mislead" the players, but not companies house, coz that's illegal.

- constantly giving the devs of the 3rd party software a hard time, despite the fact that FDev absolutely relies on them to fill the gaps in their content. (as Ralph Varger pointed out).

I could go on and on and on.

Clearly it is you right to get what you want no matter what so any means justify the ends right."

Have you not been paying attention to the whole dev process by FDev?

Please do tell us that you beleive FDev have not been guilty of manipulating the situation since the KS for thier own ends - go on, it'll be funny. FDev altered the code so that the game runs better on consoles - and then Altered the PC version code so that it's more in line with the console version - because Mcsoft told them to, anyone who denies that is an idiot, because that explanation is the only one that fits everything about that whole scenario. FDev have delayed significant portions of the content promised during the KS to insert other content they thought was more important and was part of a roadmap that DID NOT MATCH WHAT WAS SOLD DURING THE KICKSTARTER.

This is an absolute proveable and undeniable fact.

But I'm sure you won't let that stop you and all the others from denying it.

Some of us feel that "entitlement" that so many of those like you throw around like it's a dirty word because without the KS - ED, and the millionaire fortunes of the company wouldn't exist.

FDev before the KS was a minority nothing company with a handful of console games to it's record. Now their shares are being traded on the stock exchange - we the backers made that happen, so yeah I absolutely think we are entitled to get what we paid for.

The fact that you don't is mind boggling - can I sell you this rock? It's brilliant, it flies and talks and everything - it'll be your best purchase ever, totally worth every penny of £200,000 and I'm cutting my arm off at that price, it should be MUCH MUCH more.

For some - at least me, imho - flying around is half of this game's fun.
Hence no autopilot please.

here's a concept some people seem unfamiliar with - how about having the CHOICE to use one, or not?

And sure tell me how you'll never use it on those 200LS trips to hutton or wherever those far away stations are.
