FD is trying to run us off. After the 10 year plan shtick and etc it would just be too embarassing to just axe ED and might even involve legal consequences given what they have said in public about the games future.
So rather than process all those refunds for people who bought in for the long term, they have just decided to patch the game to death and wait for us to leave.

People really don't have to be paid FD sleeper agents to disagree with these paranoid fantasies.

Uh round? is my guess :)

You may think im a nut but if you read the wiki article you may change your mind. Most large corporations engage in some form of astroturfing and you have to remember FD is above all, a profit making enterprise with a board of directors to answer to. To think FD is different, just because you like their game(s), is just naive.

At the moment it's flat.... at least from my perspective because I keep getting discoed before I can get my ship high enough to see any of this so called "curvature"!
joking aside though I'm setting here like I'm waiting for my dope dealer to show up.. jonesing... so much jonesing..

Tomorrow's Patch:

We are taking the PC galaxy servers down now for the 3.0.6 update which will increment the build number to 3.0.6, because it's an even number. This fix will come on PS4 and Xbox whenever we get around to it.

Changelog: Game Version 3.0.5 incremented to 3.0.6

Im about 60/40 in favor of the astroturfing theory. I would like to believe differently, but evidence and current accepted business practices incline me to think that frontier may be using the forums for marketing and damage control.
Imo the money would be better invested in creative content and technical expertise, but the people in charge of budget priorities rarely understand creativity and have trouble grasping technical concepts, so you get what you get.
But i would like not to believe it.

For the record in case anyone not able to play atm themself and wondering, I haven't had a single disco now for the last 30 minutes. Yay! \o/

This 30 mins included engineering at and departure from Hera Tani/Kuwemaki, jumping to Prof Palin/Maia (19 jumps), approach to Prof Palin, docking, and engineering. Wow that was fast work and seemingly well fixed too. Nice!!!

I was ready to call on this but turns out FD is a larger operation than I would have guessed: an entity with over 300 employees and more than 60% of its value publicly shared on the LSX.

LET THE WITCH HUNTING BEGIN!

Seriously though it looks like the stock price is taking a hit. Turns out we don't need to be bitter and nasty when we whine; weak rollouts and service problems hit the company straight in the wallet, which is a lot more effective than any amount of salty tears in here.

yeah looks good now...Server Status "OK" and i'm still in Game, over 30 minutes. No jump sessions, still standing in space.

They show the correct time. Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). It just so happens that GMT = UTC. You'll get used to it!

Hello folks,

Just a quick update, we've made some server-side corrections and you can find these below (and in the OP):

Local News
  • Fixed new local generated news articles not displaying
  • Legacy authored local news is no longer shown

Missions
  • Fixed rank-up missions incorrectly increasing rank with the opposing Superpower
  • Reduced overloading Mission Boards to prevent disconnection issues

Ships
  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to get into destroyed ships

I see two sides to this also. Yes, it would be nice to have your choice of local time showing. It makes me so sad to see 11pm in game when it's actually midnight. That makes me feel like I've lost a hour.

However... The other side to this. I love how everyone sees the same time. No matter where you are from, or where your friends are from, you all have access to the same clock. No more having to double check times for timezones, you all are working off the same thing. That is far better to have than to not be confused by having to add a hour to the time to figure your own local time. To that though, I wear a watch.
