I think this game would benefit massively from VR. Imagine being able to walk around a park that you've built and experience it all through VR. It'll be a missed opportunity if not implemented I think.

Only 30 dinosaurs (40 claimed by the German mag is apparently wrong) including the deluxe dinosaurs which are confirmed as been in the late game of standard editions, deluxe gets them from start.

Half the island map restricted

No cosmetics for the park

Only one ride

Limited terrain tools

Few buildings

Bad hunting behaviour

Guests look awful

Jeep can't be attacked

Limited management (hiring staff, advertising, changing ticket prices etc)

Some Dinosaurs too big

Only one character from the movies

Everybody's park is going to look identical because lack of customisation.

I get why buildings can't be edited because of licensing, but at least give us statues, fountains, bridges, flowers, vending machines, display signs etc to spice things up.

This game is shaping up to be a huge disappointment. More negatives than positives.

Frontier need to issue a statement to clarify the issues because watching the vids, the game looks poor. Like it needs another 6 months of development."

This is what Baryonyx said in another thread which I think the developers need to see because he brings many points that should be considered, if Frontier wants this game to be a huge success and profit to them and the community.

Will dinosaurs be able to attack each other outside of synchronised stationary animations?

In Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis there were the sychronised animation fights, but predators could also just bite at herbivores and other carnivores outside of synchronised animations. Allosaurus would chase after a herbivore for example and bite at it when it got near, and raptors would jump onto the backs of larger animals and try and slash at them, but would often get thrown off off and so the herbivore had a chance of escape.

So far I've seen herbivores show no fleeing behaviour and the carnivores just attack stationary herbivores in synch kills, I hope this is not the only way predator and prey interactions work and that there will be proper fleeing, chasing and hunting behaviour
 
It blows my mind that thus far deaths don't seem to penalize you at all. Admittedly, all we've seen is a demo and at the first/tutorial level island at that. But it seems advancement is tied to park performance, itself link to contracts and management metrics (dinosaur authenticity, income, etc.). And at no point did a dev tell a player whose dinosaur had eaten somebody that such things will have consequences in the game -- at least in any of the videos I watched. I get it was a game reveal and of course the first thing invited players are going to do is let their dinosaurs out. So you're not going to discourage that. But it seems odd to me that at no point did somebody mention what happens when the headline crisis of the entire franchise -- people being eaten by dinosaurs -- inevitably occurs. And why wouldn't you? Ironically, I suspect most players welcome the consequences because it makes the inevitable escapes meaningful and tension filled. Plus it's a lot more visceral a rush than losing income or a contract.

Tourists
The loss of a tourist should have a direct impact on park status, trigger new security requirements that must be completed before any new contracts can be taken, and have a financial loss. You have to pay out for the lawsuit, the increase in insurance, etc. And every time it happens it should get worse. Suddenly you're in a rush to manually fly the helo and tranquilize the escaped dinosaur because you've already lost 5 people and if you lose more the financial penalty doubles. Asset recovery is no longer a leisurely mini-game, it's a real threat. Maybe you have to lower prices because after an attack fewer people come to the island for a time or you even get shut down until the security improvements are made, costing you even more in lost revenue.

Staff
The loss of staff should impact park performance. Maybe the loss is randomly assigned to a building, slowing down its performance. "Looks like we lost a geneticist -- incubating eggs is going to take longer until they can be replaced." Suddenly now after an attack when you get a report on who and how many died you're nervously waiting to see the damage. 7 staff? Could be a janitor, no consequence at the level of park management. A pilot? Expeditions will take twice as long. Cashier? Fast food location is going to underperform for a time. Lose too many of one type and they go on strike, costing you productivity and money. Herbivore feeders become less efficient because they aren't being refilled, causing your herbivores to get ornery and more likely to get in fights, causing them even more damage. Suddenly you're panicking when your dinosaur rounds the corner and a person in a white lab coat is cornered. "I can't afford to lose another geneticist! Please be a pilot!" An engineer is lost and now rides have a +5% chance of breaking down, hurting a guest and compounding the situation.

Another, simpler mechanic could just be adding a Park Morale metric. Lose too many staff and performance goes down across the board for a time.

UPDATES

I would like updates for this game after it releases, including improvements, additional content, bug fixes, and of course; if new movies come out introducing new characters, creatures and or buildings, I would LOVE to see them all being added to the game. [heart]

VIOLENCE and HORROR

I would love this game to have VIOLENCE and SCARY moments, combined with blood, killing and destruction. It would ALSO be great to disable/enable violence visual effects through the options menu.

My whishes

I would like to have:
1. First person view
2. A working day and night cycle
3. A multiplayer mode, so you could play with your friend(s)
4. The possibility to place a birdcage and customise it inside with trees and rocks etc.
5.different soil types like sand, stone and swamp
6. More cage customisation like caves and your own built waterfalls
7.placing different kind of trees like tropic trees and deciduous trees
8. The possibility to place a singular tree
9. The possibility to place a cage and customise it inside with rocks and water plants
10. Dangerous dinosaurs attacking the ranger jeeps
11. The monorail from the jurassic world film.
12. A petting zoo with baby dinosaurs like in jurassic world
13. Boat tours trough cages of harmless dinosaurs
14. Different kind of path like stone and sand.
15. Customisation for streets like street lanterns and fountains.
16. Placing down spotlights to light important things up

Wow, 17 pages with massive lists by people. Frontier if you're still reading this list at this point, I'll make my list actually quick (some are saying their's is quick and then write an essay).

-Ability to build actual bridges. Bridges can have a standard look; doesn't need to be an assortment of various bridge types, but it'd be nice to see actual bridges instead of a path going across water.
-At least more more type of plant life for exhibit building. In the demo, it looks like tropical plants are the only option. In JP lore, the Lost World was comprised of mostly redwood forests. If you could create at the very least one more kind of plant life/geographical terrain like redwood forests that'd be great. Also add the ability to add rocks.
-Water Depth. Regardless if you do ever release aquatic animals in a future DLC or not, seeing animals that have been known to be swimmers like Spinosaurus, Hadrosaur species, or Brachiosaurus swimming would be great!
-Little Park Cosmetics such as benches, lights, trash cans, animal info signs...stuff like that to help make the game feel more immersive
-Add optional building variants that take place across the JP lore. Meaning Jurassic World's buildings were all new tech, current buildings but it'd be nice to have buildings made of the straw roofing like in the original JP.
-Sandbox Mode (obviously I'm not the first to ask this)

I'll leave my list at that seeing as anything else I can think of someone else has probably already mentioned.
If I could ask for one more suggestion and PLEA...if you do release a DLC of aquatic animals...can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE create either the Sarcosuchus or Deinosuchus!! The largest crocodiles to ever water the earth.

I think you're under the impression this is a different kind of game. It's a park building game not a FPS dinosaur hunting game. Don't clog up this forum with unrelated, dumb requests.

Game already has FPS dino "hunting" .. nothing major; basically, get in the helicopter and shoot the dino with a tranq... but it's there.
Also, it's a wishlist of what they'd like to see in the game. It's not for you to decide what can and can't be posted.

1. Day and night cycle.
2. Weather (rain, foggy, sunny,etc).
3. Lethal weapons in case of emergency.
4. FPS on vehicles, guests, staffs. Also the ability to control the guest to hide, run, or even using tools or weapon if needed.
5. Baby dinos? Like after incubation, we can raise them with siblings instead of the dino going full adult like the dev build we saw on late March.

I am french and thank you for this amazing game. We can not wait to play your game, I have to pre-order the version Deluxe edition on steam :)

My wishlists :D

1) To be able to make the attractions like a visitor

2) Have the opinions of visitors on the park

3) Have a Site B that allows you to have all the dinosaurs unlocked and just watch them live in the wild

4) Have the attraction of the land cruiser as in Jurassic Park, with iconic cars

5) Have the possibility to install mods

6) For dinosaurs I would like to have more color variation, like a brown T-rex, green T-rex. Example as in the film Jurassic word with raptors of different colors.

7) I would have liked to see baby dinosaurs who with time become adults.

8) An arena to face the dinosaurs

9) More blood

10) Being able to control a human from A to Z, that is to say in fps view.

11) I would like more tool to model the terrain and make a beautiful park! more plant, more decoration etc etc I would love to have special signs jurassic park

12) Ditto for the buildings remake the enclosure of the raptor of jurassic park 1 and jurassic world.

13) I'd like some random events, general breakdown of the park, sabotage

14) A cycle day and night

In Addition to what I have posted earlier :

ability to declare an emergency (when dinosaur breakout or when we have bad weather or storm or tornado like (Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis)).
If you did, all guests would seek shelter in the bunkers and no new guests would arrive until you turned the alarm off again.

The Alarm should be optical and Audio, maybe Frontier could use the alarm sound from JP when repowering the fences.

mosasaur is 100% a must for Jurassic Park World. Its even on the film and the game is based on it.

it makes absolutely no sense not to include it. at launch okay i understand, but please include and work on them once the game is released.

many ppl like myself would be happy to buy such DLC/ content / expansion.

Also for Denuvo, Please Make it Strong and uncrackable please thank you. I would hate to see it cracked on day one or something that would be horrible. please work with Denovu for counter measures. The biggest reason why i bought the game is because it has Denuvo

please don't add demos, beta or anything. (people can this to crack the game like what happened to Final Fantasy)
 
other suggestions-

Click and drag option from Zoo Tycoon (Where you can drop people onto anywhere to fit their needs or put them into a cage for fun)
Children and Woman should be attackable and can be killed, not just men

also the most important thing from Zoo Tycoon is SandBox. This is extremely important for Replay value. Massively important, if it were not to be included it would be a big joke.

Zoo Tycoon allows you to create the base land, mountains, sea, water to ur liking and its amazing. Please bring it back.
