FULLY-GROWN INDOMINUS REX

The Indominus shown in Jurassic World was smaller than it could have been. A fully-grown Indominus Rex is at least 25 feet tall and 50 feet long. In the game, adult specimens should have their fully-grown size. ¡PLEASE!

I'm very excited for Jurassic World: Evolution, and think it has the potential to be a fantastic game, and the definitive park builder experience. These are some of the elements the I really think would help make the game a truly incredible entry into the management genre.

1. Dinosaur AI: The key feature of this game is the dinosaurs. Without them, the game simply wouldn't be what it is. We've seen the beautifully rendered and animated models created by Frontier. What I feel we haven't really seen is a complex dynamic AI system, the likes of which can be found in JPOG (I imagine comparisons to JPOG are tiring, but it's an inevitable comparison). The root of this concern is the somewhat robotic interactions between entities seen in the demo. For example, prey animals do not attempt to flee from predators, and the predator appears to slowly line up to a static prey animal in order to trigger an attack animation. This is unconvincing, and shatters the illusion of these computer constructs being living, breathing creatures. Other things that seemed to be absent from the demo were herding, and naturalistic socialization between animals. We did see socialization, but it took the form of a symmetrical circle that is formed by the animals. This looks unnatural, in my opinion, and having the animals simply call to each other as they graze or roam would be a much more realistic form of communication. I know these are rather nitpicky, and I apologize, but they build up to dampen the illusion of having living creatures in your park. It's simply a bit of a shame to see such astonishingly rendered creatures behave in an unconvincing manner.

I'm beyond thrilled for this game! Frontier I'm taken back and super impressed with all the work you've put into the game thus far. I'm not sure if my little voice will be heard but I'd love to see the herding behavior among the herbivores....moving in herds across exhibits.... and to see the predators actually chase them and single out an individual. I noticed the guest respond to a lose dinos and they take off sprinting in herds better than the dinos.

Surprised that I didn't think of this before.

We should get a photo mode. Allow us to pause the game and take really cinematic photos with visual editing options like filters, lighting, contrast, etc.

Hello, long time lurker, first time poster.

Small exhibit buildings- first and foremost, Jurassic Park/World is a zoo. Thereby, it should have zoo attractions. The original Zoo Tycoon did a great job with this, with its aviary, primate/reptile/insect/butterfly houses. You have the opportunity to do the exact same thing here, just throw the word "prehistoric" in front of them.

Think about it, buildings about the same size as the innovation center where guests can walk in and see a few room-sized terrariums housing smaller dinosaurs/ancient reptiles or giant insects. An aviary full of bird-sized pterosaurs, or an aquarium filled with amonites, andcient fish, and marine reptiles?

It would not necessarily be resource-intensive as you could probably just re-cycle a singular cyclical animation set for each building.

Also there's the potential for growth and investment in research, with each building being able to be upgraded with a different "featured species" that could simply switch to a variant animation cycle.

You could even tie it in with a "sea and sky" expansion that is on almost everybody's wish list.

It would add a ton of variety to the buildings in the park, which is one of the pieces of feedback I feel you often receive.

Surprised that I didn't think of this before.

PHOTO MODE. To allow us to PAUSE the game and take pictures.
YES! THIS WOULD BE AWESOME TOO! I have already included an option for recording video and save the files on a previous post here, but this would also make an excellent addition. Although, I would also like an option for taking pictures WITHOUT stopping time (to realisticly take photos, and prevent things from looking unnatural).

Dear Frontier team

First of all thank You for creating this beautiful game!
Ever since I saw the game trailer I've been watching and following everything about Jurassic World Evolution. As soon as it was available to pre-order I gave my money [big grin] Needles to say that I'm an adult that grew up with Jurassic Park movies, books and JPOG game so Your game is a dream come true.
The most fascinating and amazing thing is the fact You, the Frontier team, are actually reading these comments and are in touch with people who are waiting for the game. That is a huge plus and hats down for that.
After seeing the demo version I must say I was speechless. The animals, the ambient, plants... Perfect. There are just few things I would love to see in the game, and after seeing this thread I decided to sign in Your forum and write down what I would personally change/add in the game or made it a bit better.
So here is the small list from my side.

1. The thing absent from the game, as I've read somewhere in this thread, is the socialization of the animals. It would be amazing to see animals making herds, like in the JPOG game, we all remember how Parasaurolophus would mainly herd with Corythosaurus or Edmontosaurus (even in the info sector for each dinosaur species it was stated with which other species they love to form herds), or another example, Gallimimus. I loved watching them forming these huge heards and just sticking to eachother, running like ''flock of birds'' and resembling the famouse scene from the movie. Although I love everything about Jurassic World Evolution so far, I hope this would be something that You can add, because without that it hasn't got that feeling that these are actually living creatures when they run around all by themselves. (Though in the trailer for the game, when there are paras, brachios, trikes and stegs on the meadow, each species are in their own group. That's cool and something like that would make it more realistic.)

2. Please, please, pretty please add the soundtrack using John William's themes from the movies. That is something that gives the magic to the movies and would for sure add more magic in the game.

3. Jurassic Park assets - buildings, decorations, especially Ford Explorer, original Visitor Center and the Jurassic Park gate.

4. Park decorations - in the end, it's a theme park so bins, benches, fountains, speakers, statues, fossils, dinosaur info boards by paddocks, decorating vegetation, JP/JW flags and signs, etc.

5. Sandbox mode.

(Plus one, a bit funny thing I would add, don't laugh. Sounds of frogs, crickets and birds in the jungle.)

Anyhow, this is my list, I hope at least some things from it can be added to the game. If not, jeez, the new Jurassic game is coming so it's OK :)

Ps. Forgive me on my rusty English.

Best regards,
Sanio

Italian translation

An italian translation is needed because many italian players don't speak english at all, we don't need to speak english because our official language is Italian which is one of the official languages of the European Union just like French, German and Spanish being reknown as MAIN FOREIGN LANGUAGES (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_of_the_European_Union#Court_of_Justice) so i believe we need at least a full text translation also according to EU laws and reknown of its official languages.
Italy it's not an english or american colony but a sovereign state of the European Union according to some sentences of the European Court and according to a sentence of previously mentioned court according to:Judgment of the General Court (Eighth Chamber) of 15 September 2016 (Extracts).
Italian Republic v European Commission.
Rules on languages — Regulation No 1 — Article 1d(1), Article 27 and Article 28(f) of the Staff Regulations — Principle of non-discrimination — Proportionality.
Cases T-353/14 and T-17/15.
Please feel free to let this being checked out by a lawyer.
Thanks in advance, waiting for such translation.

this makes no great sense. They can´t translate the game to every european language (by the same arguments). This is not about laws. It is about what is commercially viable.

it would be awesome to listen to the official soundtrack from the movie franchise within the game

Wishlist/Needs for the game

After watching the demo i have to say that the game seems to be absolutely astonishing but there are some aspects that should be improved,
so here is my list of the things the game need to be perfect:
1) Real interactions and behaviours between dinosaurs ( i think its the most important one to make the user feel real those creatures) such as herd behaviour or hunter-prey real interactions (not that ceratosaurus standing in front of a struthio and then attacking with no try of scaping from the prey). Here i will add that a better camera over the dinosaurs is needed ( i love to spend time watching to them but in the demo the camera was not good at all).
2) More attractions/structures to implement how visitors will interact with dinosaurs (JW gave us lots of new possibilities so use them) like girosphere ride, river ride...
3) Better environmental remodeling tools such as deep water for the spino of sucho (also for a gondola ride), rocks and different tipes of terrain (sand, swamp...) and trees.
4) Sandbox mode placed on an isolated site B ( like the one in JP3). We all loved site on JPOG, i think that sandbox allows the player to feel even more the JP/JW experience and also provides an alternative to continue playing when the campaing is completed.
Now i will say some things that i wish for the game but arent so important for me:
-Day/night cycle to let us watch our dinosaurs in every aspect of their lifes (night for animals is so important in some cases).
-Water/ flying reptiles will complete the JW experience and raise it to the top. (please add the mosa i dont care if it is just in the background)
-Better interaction with guests, i have seen jeeps going towards people and people teleporting instead of running or jumping in a more real way and ceratosaurus as with dinosaurs waiting a lot to eat them and always in the same way.
-A first person camera would be so interesting (one like in zoo tycoon 2) to see for example a rex killing its prey just in front of you.
-Hybrids like indoraptor or indorex but also mutations in the color of the dinosaurs, sex, size... (i would implement a breeding sistem).
-More things from the films like skins, soundtracks, landscapes, attractions...

Ok Frontier, you wish this to be the best JP/JW game out there? Listen closely

-First Person guest mode
-Cliffs
-Rocks
-Island Generator like JPOG
-Variety of Missions
-DLC skin packages
-PLAYABLE DINOSAURS!!! [yesnod][yesnod][yesnod][yesnod] (TLW JP and Lego did it, lets see if you can)

The only two things graphics wise that are a must have for me is being able to enable/disable depth of field and motion blur. I hate that. But I don't think the latter is common in management type games anyway.

Planet Coaster has depth of field and yes I disable it. It supposed to be simulated distance but it just looks blurry and terrible. I don't know if it has the motion blur. I don't disable motion blur entirely in games I just turn it down as low as it will go.

Cities Skylines also has depth of field and I disabled it there as well cause it doesn't look right.

I don't know what you are talking about America for cause Frontier is a British game developer and not an American one. If there is any English in the game it will most likely be British English. That means a lot of words will be spelled funny according to Americans. Like colour, defence and armour. They would need to fix some of the words for the US version. America has no control in what translations Frontier decides to use.

MORE OPTIONS FOR THE TERRAIN EDITOR:

- MESA creator (if not already available)

- ROCK creator (there ARE rocks on the Las Cinco Muertes archipelago)

- DEEP WATER and POOL creator (as seen in Jurassic World with the Mosasaur and the Great White Shark)

- WATERFALL creator (as seen in Jurassic World when the Indominus was chasing the kids throughout the park)

- DIFFERENT TYPES OF WATER (you know... brownish and greeny waters, like the same kind of water that composes swamps or poorly oxygenated rivers)

I already responded to this thread but I thought of a few more things.

1. In the development build the dinosaur interactions seemed like they needed some work. Specifically, when the ceratosaurs were facing triceratops it felt a bit like watching attack animations in an RTS game. The ceratosaur nipped, the triceratops lunged, neither of them visible touching all the while, and this repeated until the ceratosaurs health was depleted and it fell over. Recalling JPOG, it looked much more realistic simply when the triceratops lunged, the predator got impaled on the horns, bled everywhere, let out a roar, and keeled over. In the development build we never saw the horns of the triceratops actually puncture the ceratosaur. Likewise, it seems like it should also be an option for the ceratosaur to back down and run away instead of engaging. It also would be nice to to see the predator try a juke type move to get around the horns and try to bite the neck, etc. There needs to be some element of randomness, rather than the dinosaurs simply taking turns in attack animations every single interaction.

Also, the struthiomimus really needed to run when they were being attacked/ chased by the ceratosaurs. It seemed very static.

It would also be nice if the dinosaurs decided to walk around in a relaxed fashion rather than always running when they chose to move.

It would be really great to watch small carnivores stalk the grass for small prey. Perhaps the raptors, and ornithomimids, the dilophosaurs. Which feeds into the next item.

2. Thinking about it, it would be really nice to be able to place a nice big log down as an added terrain feature. Seeing a struthiomimus stalk around a log and then snap up a rat or lizard or something would add a big element towards making the dinosaurs seem real.

3. For the smaller dinosaurs it would seem realistic if they could survive, or at least supplement their diet, without a feeder. Seeing herbivores browse on foliage or the aforementioned small carnivores stalking small prey in the foliage. For the suchomimus, spinosaurus, or potential baryonyx it would be really amazing to see them snap up some fish from the bodies of water. And on this note it would be nice to see all the dinosaurs have specific habitat tendencies that would promote their happiness in their enclosure. For example the spinosaurs, suchomimus, baryonyx requiring larger bodies of water where they fish. Or some sort of habitat specificity desired for certain species. Also cows, are there guna be cows? It would be nice to have the option to feed a cow instead of a goat.

FULLY-GROWN INDOMINUS REX

The Indominus shown in Jurassic World was smaller than it could have been. A fully-grown Indominus Rex is 40 feet tall and 50 feet long. In the game, adult specimens should have their fully-grown size. ¡PLEASE!

There is absolutely no way that the animal would be approximately same height as it's length. It is not 40 ft high.

Surprised that I didn't think of this before.

We should get a photo mode. Allow us to pause the game and take really cinematic photos with visual editing options like filters, lighting, contrast, etc.

They've already confirmed a photo mode and you can watch it in a few gameplay demonstrations. I'm pretty the frontier gameplay demo shows it! :)
