I hope we do get a megaship, then I can challenge someone to go Eco between waypoints and become the first person to reach Beagle without a fuel scoop
The thought occured to me today, though I don't know why I didn't think of it earlier, that if we do indeed get to set up a station outpost or whatever at Sag A it needs to be named in some reference to Durant from the Disney movie The Black Hole. That may give it creepy implications, however.

How much longer do you figure Eco would take you? I switched to Eco on my way back from the California nebula and I felt like it added HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of jumps!
EDIT: That said, I did find that my return trip was a lot more profitable, just due to the sheer number of system scans I did.

Honestly though, that's not too terrible. Providing you only stop to actually scan ELWs, Black Holes and the like...if that. For someone who can only play a few hours a night though...not really an option if I want to make the waypoints.
Heh, 800 jumps for me, with stopping to explore interesting systems along the way, would literally take me over 20 hours to fly. 20 hours to go 1000 lys!

You need 33.4 to reach Beagle Point, so 16.8 with synthesis level 3 is enough.

almost 4,200 people signed up. You could walk on the back of the ships between the stars with that many turning up!
