Lower "Hot Module" Cleaning costs, or Better, Remove them entirely.

Yep, its a whiny one, sorry folks.

Hot modules are a cash shink like no other. Yet another "You can't play like that unless you've done 3+ years of grind" barrier.

Thats the most irritating part. Being punished by a game which advertises "Blaze your own trail" in the tagline. Gating off gameplay behind insane cash walls is not content. Its been said a billiion times and i'll say it once again.

Im not a short term player, or not thus far, and i don't have any major complaints about the game other than balancing, but this travesty of an idea needs to go. Hot ships was a dodgy idea to begin with but having to sink literal MILLIONS into modules you have already paid said millions for just to put them on something else is a joke.

Wanting to stomp out greifers is one thing, but players who do pursue priracy or PvP consentual or otherwise should not be continually punished for choosing to play a sandbox GAME they way they want to.

Moreover, why do anarchy systems want us to clean said modules anyway? The whole idea was half baked to begin with but in practice it is absolutely atrocious.

Better they are removed entirely in this Cmdr's humble opinion, but if they must stay for goodness sake let them be reduced to levels that dont involve essentially buying new modules anyway. A fixed flat rate of X - thousand credits for every modules even. Not millions on top of a module that already costs millions. Thats just annoying.

"We don't want to waste your time."

Hot modules is not about anti-griefing. It's a pre-emptive closure of the possibility for a suicidewinder exploit that would allow people to completely sidestep the ship bounty system.

As one the 'someones who does piracy' I can tell you the new C&P system is ok, bounties are a joke, they need to be x100 and notoriety should not decay with just time. Hot modules/ships is fine. If anything it should be hardened.

PVPers that want to pew pew can go use CQC if they don't like paying rebuys, bounties or cleaning up ships.

I would prefer hot module "cleaning" be removed.

Once the bounty is collected or paid off, that should be it, module "cleaned". (basically they just need another table in the database to track what bounties apply to which modules)

Well, not so much as stripping a ship down to E-rated core modules, THEN suiciding it to minimize rebuy. And making people take that chance while they pay it off.
