With regards to "expectation Management" - I get the argument, and time and again, indeed the "hype train" runs away a little, and the imaginations run that bit further and of course, this invites disappointment.HOWEVER - the fact that this happens time and time again is ACTUALLY A MORE CRITICAL POINT - rather than this to be seen as a "lesson for the playerbase" to wise up and... (expect all?) - instead FDFEV ALSO NEED TO LEARN that their community actually expect something BEYOND a rehash of past (and generally disappointing) scenarios that were from an earlier time BEFORE FDev apparently have "learned lewssons fromt the past in how to listen to feedback"OF COURSE - there will eb unresoanble expectations and wild cconjectural "whatifs" and "wouldnt it be great" s but a significant numebr of players actually (and vocally described here) that they had reserved, conservatve expectations but were intrigued enough TO WANT TO TAKE PART.This should have been an ideal opportunity - not much was necessary at all, but instead, the result is actually not even the bare bassics of what waws presented in initial offering "Gnosis Jumpo to Cone Sector"NOBODY would really care if there was nohing other than a loo break and high tea appointment - but instead, the rug is pulled (actually, everyone is forewarned last-minute that the rug will be pulled) and in fact, isntead, FDev chose to repeat Jacques jump ignoring the unanimous feedback after that fiasco.Yes, players owe it to themselves to manage expectations, but FDev should understand by now (jsut as forums users understand) how those expectations are and to learn lessons from years ago.
