I was messing with you, I knew it would have hostile Thargoids.
Threat 9's are the new ones that are supposed to have Hydras. Strange that you found an empty one, unless Frontier have neglected to activate the Hydras yet.

Well im sure ive seen an npc called Marty McFly around so the back to the future reference might be right. but with 4 minutes left this gives FDev the choice of A) Screw over players who are the ones who have been keeping on exploring though the looking for a needle in a galaxy has been slow going. Or B) Screw over Galnet ....
Either way it starts to show cracks in the Narrative and emergent gameplay that cant easily be patched over

The responsibility for "hype" in this is not on the players. FD community team advertised the jump, hyped it up, FD devs acted like this was definitely going to happen and there was something to find in there.
Responsibility for this farce lies entirely with FD. What a cheap, lowdown, disgusting way to handle this "event". They should have just denied Cannon's request to jump into the system and let the Gnosis go on its way to the Rift.
What was the point in telling people there are systems to explore if we're not getting in there because of some contrived and convenient "hyperdiction".

I don't know, I've played Destiny and Destiny 2.
Even if they'd set it up so the Gnosis got attacked, say, a fortnight ago and then created a modest list of materials required to repair it and created a Galnet article saying how the ships trip to the Cone Sector was in doubt after an attack left the ship under repair and in danger of missing an astronomical window-of-opportunity then it would've created a positive scenario which would, most likely, have resulted in players rallying to the cause.
It's disappointing the way that, whenever something happens in this game, it's always possible to come up with a better thing instead with a couple of minutes of thought. [sad]
I've had more action here than the last year in the game. I want to thank Frontier for some of the best player lead action in years.

Destiny 2 sucks, but there's actually things that happen in that game.
Folks gettin' this worked up over a videogame.
