BREAKING NEWS: GNOSIS STRANDED, GALNET NEWS!

Frontier, to give them credit, have done the impossible and united the forums.

Perhaps not in the way they'd have liked, mind

It's simultaneously astonishing, and utterly predictable.

The game isn't dead - I still love flying spaceships - but it's clear both Frontier's imagination and their connection with what players might enjoy is. And worse, their competence is in serious question, given the delivery of this "content".

FDEV has serious narrative deficits. Technically they are very good, but as for the depth and meaning of the events they are pathetic. What do they expect now? What are we going to fight with exploration ships against Hydra?
It's the right time to pause E: D. And luckily I did not do the nonsense of buying a new livery to the ship for this adventure.

What a follow up to Zac's press release the other day. I actually feel kinda sorry for those guys now

The community team will have a rough day today. This is mostly not their fault. But they will have to go in to bat on behalf of the people responsible.

Everyone is getting a bit screwed over today. Nobody wins. But this is, essentially, what we can expect.

It's so stupid. Funny. Like really funny. Just stupid. And they want people to play this into next year?

They're not even good on a technical level, the bare bones mechanics and systems that exists only work by the skin of their teeth and even then, sometimes though dont.

The ONLY good things about ED are the Art and Sound. That's it.

Tradition must be maintained at any cost, as in real life.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Adding insult to injury, nearly all of the NHSSs in the system are devoid of Thargoids. Most will either only have a single Thargoid Sensor/Probe, or a field of debris. Is it really too much to ask for a little quality control?

Lucky you. I did take a day off. I expected a nice day of exploring the cone sector, and i wake up and find I've been railroaded into what seems to be a CG. Well I aint taking part, the Gnosis should be left to burn by the community as a protest.

Beyond angry at FD right now. I bet i'm not the only one who set aside RL time to get involved in something out of the norm for once - only to find out its the same old scripted stuff when i log in. I'll never learn!

It isn't burning ;)

Total waste of time and effort. Guess I will make my way back to the bubble, although to be honest, I may give the game a break for a while. This has really irritated me.

I suspect the removal of "return to surface" is to prevent people hogging pads and making them unuseable.

You can still launch tho can't you?

My ship got to the surface, then just sat in the pad for a few seconds and then I got a transaction error. I haven't tried it again for fear of waking the space kraken...

I couldn’t at first I was completely stuck. After it crashed I logged on again and I could launch. Damn I flew all the way out here after work, hustled to build my new PC, and the very first thing that happens when I start up the new build is “nope ain’t in the cone sector”. No surprise I guess, which is the problem.
