It was clear from the live stream that the community asked some question they could not answer. I was happy they presented their ideas before they were set in stone and I think they were happy to get the feedback they got.
This is all that really matters. Developer talks to their players, players talk back and try to help as best they can. Developer has context to changes. So do (at times to a lesser degree) players. Issues abound when Frontier listen to a view narrow voice, or stop talking at all.
It's promising to hear Frontier are flat chat building. If that translates to solid work in Beta I will have no problem thanking them and being quite positive in observation. Changes are inevitable, and if they are inclusive enough that most people can find something to enjoy, then really that's all that can be asked.
I look forward to Beta. If I didn't give a monkeys, I'd not be interested in the slightest. I have forever and will forever want Frontier to nail this sucker and deliver a great outcome for people to enjoy. If I at times have to hold them to account, then I will damn well hold them to account and not everything will be let slide. I don't imagine they expect much less, to be fair.
edit: and I'm glad people had a good time and are jazzed; they have context no-one else does though, so I'll take commentary with a pinch of (well meaning) salt till beta. Hype has the problem of creating unreasonable expectations.
