If I wanted a 'radio-tuning' game I would have rather bought an old radio.

Why do you say that and speak as if you have the authority of fdev? Do you have some inside info? I would suggest that if the uproar was such that the game was getting panned in forums round the place it would vanish pretty quick.

Uhm...just common sense? The experience of age? C'mon...do you REALLY believe FD will discard a "feature" they have spent a lot of effort in, just to satisfy some noisy forum-posters? I don't think so. I think they will put PP OpenOnly before they will discard the FSS. ;)

I miss messing with SDC and the Code. These were chaps. They prod you, you prod them. Fun is had by all. Good times.

No one has called me a carebear in ages [sad]

Carebear.

Also, Powerplay should be Open only. Additionally: gimbal efficacy should be tied in with sensor rating and quality. That should do for a start!

Just as well we don't want them to discard the FSS.
Just give us back targetable bodies in the Nav Panel and leave the FSS as is

No-one has asked for it to be removed. (to my knoweldge)

Tuned in/up (excuse the pun) is more the thing.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.

Interesting point about the gimbals. I like that idea.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand - I like tuning the radio. As I've said before it makes me feel like I'm actually doing science even if it's just a silly little mini game. People have likened it to Spock doing analysis at his little scope thing on the bridge, and that's true.

Maybe I'm just that itchy for space legs that I'll take anything that makes me feel like I can tear my rear end out of that pilot's seat. :D

I really wish i was exploring right now. If im hanging about this forum moaning its cause im not in game and im not in game cause of the FSS.
You are not in game because you choose not to be. The FSS does not force that decision on you.

What is the logic behind the refusal to acknowlage us?
Because there probably isn't any logic in acknowledging you if nothing is going to change. What do you think will happen if they said "yes we know, nothing is going to change". It would just be another load of spiteful threads and posts.

They must think that the group who is upset by the FSS is so small that its ok to just ignore it.
Which is probably the likely reason.

That the forumites who defend the FSS will shout us down and close our threads and thats going to be that. Its not very nice is it?
The Pro FSS and Pro old ADS are both guilty of closing down threads. And some Pro old ADS are guilty of closing down their own threads. Please stop blaming one group of people for closing down threads. It is blatantly not true.

What did explorers do to get this?
They asked for some gameplay to go with exploration. They asked for tools to be able to discover things and so on. It is what we have now got. Whether you like the tools or not is a purely subjective thing. THings change, they evolve and sometimes to not what you want. LOTRO changed into something I didn't like so I stopped playing. Wailing about it on the forums was not going to change anything. And I am afraid to say that I can't see it changing anything now. Thats life, it doesn't always work out how you want it to.
