Killed by Blocked player

If you can't tell the difference between "true pvp" and griefing then we're just going to have to agree to disagree.

That's just something you introduced after the fact.
You responded to my post and there was no such distinction.

As it stands, it is within the rules to kill someone for no reason whatsoever.
That's what I am talking about.

If you want to go off on tangents that's not my doing.

Let's review what I wrote and what you responded to:

Seriously.

The hand-wringing and indignation is totally over the top.

"OMG! I can't bEE-lieve someone 'sploded me in a space ship 'splodey game!!!"

Then you brought up comms abuse...

LOL

Blowing up people, even for no reason, is perfectly acceptable according to the devs.
Get over it.

Comms abuse is not.

None of the weasel words will change that.

I'll happily mute anyone who sounds like a chipmunk.

But I haven't blocked a single player yet. I'm very tolerant.

Plus it's easier to seek revenge. :D

Minding my own business in Open...

Coming back to this thread to re-read it. This^ is part of the problem. If you're in Open you should be minding everyone else's business as well.

Engineered lightweight alloys - grade 5 Heavy Duty. So not standard LWA. It could only have been frags - extremely short range - likely sitting directly above & behind the pad as it raised into position - so absolutely no chance to see them. Brave brave sir robin...etc. It was at an Engineer's base too - are they anarchy / no security?

Yeah, lightweight alloys, HD5 is only 600 armor on one big whale of a ship. Might want to think about slapping some better bulkheads on that thing.

Pretty much. And since I don't engineer, Open is dead by design for me.

You don't need to engineer a ship to enjoy Open Mode.
As long as you're paying attention to your surroundings and always have an escape plan, you should be okay.

Every time I play Open (not often anymore, I'll admit), I don't take my engineered ships.
I just make sure I do not fly what I cannot afford to lose, and follow the above. Never been killed in Open yet and only ever pulled over once in four years.

So A quick breakdown of the damage I did to this beluga, according to my bot when I plug in my DPS numbers vs the hull of the beluga who I assumed has Light Weight Engineered for DeepPlate etc the bot assigned it a 0% chance of survival.

Your hull stats would of looked like this(This is best case)
Hull: 718
Kinetic Resist: -17.4% (This is what I am shooting into)

My Damage stats:
5 Double Shot Legacy Fragment cannons
Base Damage: 1,600 (This is base DPS before any bonus)
Damage + Premium: 2,080
Damage + Premium + Corrosive: 2,496
Damage + Premium + Corrosive + Resist: 2,920

Total Damage: 2,920 per second

You where killed in a single shot because your ship was simply far to weak, I could kill your ship multiple times over in a single volley.
