Want to put that to the test?

Your CCNA vs. my JNCP?

We can take this elsewhere, I’ll give you an address, you get in.

No need. You clearly have no idea about internet routing protocol.

And i don't want to educate you or derail the thread further.

That was hilarious though.

I truly expect, exposure to the vast, deep, hypnotic void of the expanse, will bring some of these so called, darkside, PVPr cmdrs back into the beauty and light.

I was truly spiritised when blown to smithereens by the dastardly cmdr Jo.. ...... the other day, while mining my own business.

A lot of us have actually been enjoying the sightseeing.

Why'd you park your ship in a spot that was likely to have high CMDR traffic?

Griefing, Spawn Camping, Back Stabbing - nothing new or special about it.

I've been playing since the very first online games came out decades ago, and I've witnessed the same behavior by thousands of gamers in hundreds of games.

The one thing that has never changed over the years is, the type of people who have fun making others miserable are those who are actually miserable in real life.

To those people (including those griefing DW2 explorers) I want to say that I truly hope someday your lives get better, that you find happiness, and that you grow enough to no longer need to make others miserable in order to try to make yourselves feel better.

Until then, I (like many other gamers) will leave you and your griefing for game vendors to worry about, while my friends and I continue to have a good time playing games and modes we can enjoy, grief-free :-D

Fly Safe, Smart, and Grief Free CMDRs,

Grey

You couldn't be more wrong concerning your armchair analysis of the emotional "unhappiness" of these players; during a slaughter (such as the mass slaughter that took place at the DWE2 starter beacon), the voice channel on their discord is filled with gales of happy--gleeful, even-- fun loving laughter. You've never heard people having more fun than these guys. I'm telling you, these are the happiest players in the game.

Hi all,
Just wanted to share the week 1 progress from the Distant Ganks 2 Expedition. Attached is the updated dashboard with progress through 11am UTC.
Highlights:

  • Total kills since expedition launch: 1,715. Averaging nearly 156 kills a day, we are making a considerable dent in our "Road to 3k" goal.
  • Leveraging different data sources, we estimate that we have now killed roughly 10% of the DW2 roster that made it out to WP2. This metric matches kills against the DW2 roster and represents unique CMDR kills.
  • Launch day was, by far, the most successful content delivery day. 723 kills in Pallaeni and the surrounding systems were recorded that day with 1900 UTC having 267 kills
  • The Asp Explorer is the most commonly killed ship at 427 kills since expedition launch. This represents nearly 25% of all kills.
  • Total estimated rebuy currently sits at roughly 9.8 billion credits.
Current Week:

With the expedition staying at WP2 for another week, we expect kills to continue, but at a reduced rate. Players will be filtering out into surrounding systems and exploring a bit more given the CG completing on Thursday, so similar performance to week 1 will likely not be possible.
Week 2 Goals:

  • Maintain kills per day at 140 or higher (150 stretch)
  • Increase ship kill diversity outside of the current top 3
  • Increase kills outside of WP2 system
Week 1 MVP:

The award this week goes to none other than CMDR Harry Potter! With 194 kills to date, Harry logged nearly 2 times as many kills as the next closest DG2 member. Congrats, and thank you for your contribution!

Thank you all and God bless.

That's how it has been the whole time. We've been having a blast.

Commander Grey, You are probably right in your viewpoint at the deepest level. People who enjoy the destruction of another's efforts are probably unconsciously trying to make up for some perceived scarcity.

However, bullies will be the very first to tell you that their real lives are fantastic and they are not in the slightest bit miserable. And because one cannot compare internal states it's almost impossible to argue to the contrary.

Personally, I am exclusively concerned with the happiness of their victims. From what I gather, most just view being blown up as an inevitable but minor setback, and continue on Their Journey in joyous discovery and community with like-minded Commanders. It's amazing that 10,000 people around the world are exploring the Milky Way together! The combination of their united energies and the collective challenges they will experience together will dwarf any bullying. I sincerely hope Frontier recognizes this admirable ambition... especially by continuing to expand the infrastructure of the exploring playstyle.

Although Frontier may guarantee the freedom of a bullying play style, it does not mean that Frontier will guarantee that it will devote significant resources to building more infrastructure to support the bullying playstyle. That is, the issue of combat logging may not be a priority as compared to Space Legs or Atmospherics.

We'll see what happens.

At any rate, I bow to the DW2 explorers and wish them the very best.

Ladies and Gentlemen - ED's top tier PvPers!

Literally yes! The top two groups on that spreadsheet are the winners of the last three annual PvP leagues.

Guess this is what happens when Frontier leaves a bug in the game that breaks all PvP and makes it literally unplayable, not to mention the complete lack of any PvP content over the past few years.

Just like your ship building advice and player guides this is a brilliant insight into the biggest mass killing in, well, certainly the elite dangerous timeline and its now part of elites history. Bringing enemies together for a common goal. It was certainly a pleasure to play a small part of 41 kills. As always, a brilliant insight. 'Right on cmdr' o7!

Speaking of which... I miss those. MOAR please.

I still rate the T7 vid as something that should be amongst the first tutorial vids in the game.
