Nice find.
Also a lift totally makes sense... really not looking to climb up the stairs of my Cutter on a 9g world![]()
I don't think I want to walk around on one either. One misstep and you break an ankle or a leg.
Nice find.

Now - I could be wrong - but isnt it more likely the addition of the 'stairlift' is because it makes sense, looks cool, and we saw a lift on the Krait commander chronicles video (albeit the rear entrance fnar) ?
A flushed halibut?Ummm, pink turbot?Hmm...![]()
And they are called SRVs
(sorry couldn't resist)
Not sure if this is (very) new, but I have only just noticed it.
its probably for the "seamless" transition loading screen between walking outside your ship, and your cockpit.
just like the "seamless" experience between supercruise and normal space, or supercruise and planetary surface.
The transition between the cockpit and SRV deployment is fast enough for me. There's a few seconds black screen which is okay. When we can walk around then I guess we'd walk from the cockpit into the hangar and get in the SRV. For people who want to get in quickly they can use the old way.
