The thing I love about my Oculus is the carrying case it came in, so compact! Perfect for travelling with a laptop.
Although not everyone uses EDSM, it can be used as a good barometer.. as of now 23.74% (of 6,874) have arrived at Polo, so that is a base line that can be used.
Orvidius's EDAstro.com has some excellent visualizations as well, and the decaying heatmaps show quite nicely how people have dropped off. There's a slower one specifically for DW2, even. You can tell that quite a lot of people have dropped out soon, but that's little wonder: they probably realised that exploration isn't what they expected it to be.
Also, think about it this way. Even if only 500 players were to finish DW2, that would still be much more than most expeditions can manage.
That reminds me. Is there a full roster of who finished DW1, so how many people got through it? Beyond the EDSM page, that is.
Well, the percentage of EDSM users who've made it to Polo can likely be extrapolated to those who don't use it.
I'm just looking forward to getting the next update on the route, so I can plot the most interesting path from Colonia to WP6 after swinging out here to do some engineer unlocking before carrying on the rest of the way.
I'm still flying, week or so behind the pack due to a combination of family obligations and, ohh shiny, let's go over there. ;3
20 jumps to the next wp for me. I took a more direct route as I will be out for a bit at the end of the week and my arm bothers me on long evenings (the reason I'll be out is to have it looked at, something about an acromioclavicular joint, early degradation and impingement).
WB Space Voyager...
I have noticed back at WP1 and WP2 i used to bump into many commanders at the POI's but now i haven't met any. I wonder if thats either me being unlucky in not bumping into you all or the drop off has impacting this.
